CHAPTER 24

"Min Seo??" I heard a knock on my door. I scratched my eyes before looking on my alarm clock. It's already 6:54 in the evening. "Min Seo?" Once again, I heard Mom call me from the other side of the door. "Are you awake?" She asked. "Yes." I asnwered. "Okay then come downstairs. It's almost time for dinner." She stated and after that, I heard footsteps walking away from my room. I took a half bath and went downstairs. "Yo sis!" Min Jae greeted while not looking away from the computer. He's playing Sword Battles Online. He's like been playing that since he was 12 years old. "Yo." I greeted back and sat on the couch to watch tv. "Why did you ignore me earlier?" I looked at him and he was facing me with a pout. I smiled. "Sorry bout that lil bro!" After me saying that. He frowned. "Yah! Don't call me lil bro!" He yelled and continued playing. "Kids, time to eat." Mom yelled from the kitchen. Min Jae still wouldn't go away from the computer so I forced him to log out and dragged him to the kitchen. "Ugh! I'm supposed to do a quest." He murmured while following me. "You can do it later." I stated as I take a sit. He just pouted and sat beside me.

"Oh. I forgot. Soyeon was here earlier." Mom said as she wash the dishes. "Really? Did she say anything?" I asked. "She just asked if you are home. She said she has something to tell you but you are asleep and your room is locked." She answered. I just nodded and went to my room. I still haven't checked my phone yet...

Those are the first notifications that showed up on my phone screen. I opened Soyeon's messages first.
I'm so glad that I have a friend like her. But I still need to call her and tell her I'm fine.

"Hey.."
[You finally called!]
"I just woke up like an hour ago"
[Oh. Are you okay?]
"Yeah..."
[Why do you sound so down then?]

I told her about what happened earlier on the restaurant.

"He can date anyone he wants. It's not like I'm his mom or whatsoever that would stop him from dating."

"I still haven't opened his messages yet. Should I?"
[Well, I guess you should. He might've explained things]
"Okay. But first, I won't build any false hopes anymore."

I ended the call and took a deep breath. Should I open his messages? After a deep thinking, I decided to open it.

He's been asking me to allow him to explain. I just seened him and didn't reply anything. I let my phone slip off my hand and lied on my bed. Ugh! What is happening to me?! "Min Seo!!!" I heard mom shout really loud from the door. "What is it?" I asked. "Open the door!" Why is she shouting her lungs off? I lazily stood and walked towards the door to open it.

I almost fell when someone hugged me right after I opened my door. I looked at mom with a confused face. "Now. Fix your problem you two. And don't get out unless you are okay! Jisung! Stay here for the night!" Mom can be strict at times. And right now she is. She slammed the door closed and left.

Jisung is hugging me really tightly. We are still standing in the same place. "Min Seo..." He stated my name. I can hear him sob and his body is shaking a little bit too. I pulled away from him. He was just looking on the floor. I dragged him and let him sit on my bed. I sat beside him. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "I really wanted to talk to you." He stated between his sobs. "Okay..." I stated and gave him a glass of water but he refused. "You can say anything you want. I'll just listen." I stated and placed the glass back. But when I faced him. He hugged me again. "Eunbin is not my girlfriend at all. She has been spreading those rumors that are not true at all. I promise. And she is always clinging onto me everytime she sees you coming. Earlier, I was waiting for you when it happened to be that she is also there having her lunch. I was shocked when she suddenly sat beside me and clung onto my arms again. I really hate her. When you came in and ran back outside. I pushed her away and ran to you but you were fast and I wasn't able to catch up to you. So instead, I went back to the restaurant and confronted her. I said to her that I don't like her at all. I even threatened her that if she comes to me again. I won't hesitate to hurt her. She is very annoying." He explained that while crying on my shoulders. I just gently patted him in the back. "Please, forgive me Min Seo." He even cried harder and hugged me tighter too. I smiled and pulled from his hug again. "Okay, I forgive you now." I stated and cupped his face and made him look at me. His eyes are puffed. I wipedbhis tears off and hugged him. "Don't cry now." I stated. Damn, why did I forgave him so easily?

Jisung and I hugged for minutes before letting go. "Can you tell me?" I asked him. "Tell you what?" He asked me confusedly. "Who you like." I continued. He was about to say anything but I stopped him. "Because I like you. I just want to know whㅡ" I stopped mid sentence when he kissed me. I sat there dumbfounded of what just happened. "Does that tell you who I like?" He asked while smiling from ear to ear. I smiled too and covered my face and let myself roll in bed.

And just like that, we started dating. We have been dating for a year and  11 months now. Today is our graduation actually. "Min Seo! Do I look good?" Soyeon asked while having her hair done. "Of course, since when did you not look good?" I stated and giggled. I am already done with my make up and hair. "Waahh. Time flies so fast." She sighed and smiled. I smiled too. "Yeah." Soyeon and Jaemin have been dating for 2 years already. "By the way girls. Where is Jaemin and Jisung?" Mom asked as she enter the room. We both shrugged. "Jisung still hasn't messaged me yet." I stated. "Jaemin said they are at school." Soyeon stated while looking at her phone. I pouted. "Why doesn't he message me at all?" I murmured at put my phone back on my pocket.

We entered the school gates. The program will start in 10 minutes. "Did Jaemin tell you where they are?" I asked Soyeon. "He doesn't reply." She answered. We decided to enter the school gym and wait for the. To kill time, we just talked about Kpop and stuff. I wonder where Jisung is... I tried to text him but he still won't reply. 

"Students, attention please. The program will start in 3 minutes." The emcee announced. I was startled when someone suddenly kissed me on the cheek. I looked to see who it was and it was Jisung. "Where did you go?" I asked him. "I was outside with Jaemin and Jeno." Oh. Okay. "Hey Min Seo. Guess who came." Jaemin asked me. "Huh? Who?" I asked. They both pointed the back so me and Soyeon looked too. We saw Mark, Renjun, Haechan, and Chenle waving at us from the back. We both waved back with big smiles. They even came. So that's why these 3 are not here when we came.

I received the 4th Rank while Soyeon received the 5th Rank. Bestfried Goals y'all!

After the program, we headed towards Mark and others. Our parents are with them too. "Yooo!!" They all greeted and hugged us four. They congratulated us all too. "Thanks for coming guys." I stated and smiled. "Of course we should come. It's a very important event for all four of you." Renjun said and gave us a big and proud smile. "Okay, kids. Let's go for lunch. C'mon." Soyeon's dad interrupted and pointed the van.

We all went out to eat and went for a little bonding at the mall. We are currently on our way back home. "Congratulations my love." Jisung whispered. "Thank you." I smiled sweetly and hugged him.
