Stardust (Harith x Nana)

Chapter 3 - Don't Leave Me

I was suddenly awoken by a tickling sensation in my chest. I looked up to see it, and it was Nana's tail. I suddenly realized that I was hugging her while I am asleep. I suddenly blushed in embarrassment and took my hand away from her. I slowly went to the basket and took out all the food and prepared it.

-NANA-

I woke up when I smelt such a sweet aroma. I look behind me and saw Harith pour something into a wine glass.

"Oh, you're awake! Come and join me for dinner!" He said. And in front of him were two plates and multiple trays filled with fresh fruits and pastries. He then gave me a glass of a drink, and I tried to take a sip, but was then shocked by it's flavor!

"Oh my, it's so creamy! It's like water but sweeter! What kind of beverage is this?" I asked him.

"Oh, you've never tried milk before?" He teased me.

"I did, but not this creamy. What's so special about this milk?" I asked him?

"Oh, it's nothing, just a bottle of milk I've got from the Moniyan pastures." He replied with a smile.

"The Moniyan Pastures?" I've answered in shock.

"That's one of the most expensive type of milk! Only the Royals can drink this!"

-HARITH-

"Yeah, I know. I'm just saving this for a special occasion."
I told her.

"Harith, one question, why are you so nice to me today? Do you have a crush on me?" She asked.

I blushed so much because of that.

"W... What? N... N... No! Why would you say that?"

"Just teasing you. You'll always be my best friend. Now answer my question, why are you so nice to me today?"

"To be honest, I... I'll be leaving tonight. I was accepted at the " Royal and Magical University of Moniya. So this might be our last time together."  I replied silently.

"What? How? Your only twelve and you're accepted in a University?"

"Well, my teachers in magic
I'm school said I was too powerful for their class. So I got transferred." I told her scratching the back of my head.

"Lucky! The only thing they teach here is just boring stuff. We can't even hit people with our spells!"
She said.

Suddenly, tears came down rolling in my eyes. And I felt a warm hand touch my shoulder.

"Harith, what's wrong?" She asked.

I suddenly hugged her tightly.

"It's just that... I'm really gonna miss you... And I'm really gonna miss our childish selves. I just want to play with you while we're still kids because, probably in the future, when we met again, we might be matured and... It's actually more fun to spend time with you, while we're still kids." I told her.

"There, there, I promise... When we meet again in the future, I'll come and play with you..."

I hugged her tightly... Very tightly.

"I don't want to let go of you. I wish you could come with me." I said.

We hugged each other for a bit longer and then we started to eat.

"Isn't it beautiful? Eating here, admiring the cherry blossoms and this beautiful sunset?"
I asked.

"Oh, it's wonderful Harith, I wish we had more time with each other." She said.

Before we ate, Harith told me,

"Just look in front and smile."
