Chapter 4 - A New Friend

I woke up in some place unfamiliar, something that look's like a room. I tried to stand up but i still feel weak. I removed the blanket covering me until i noticed that I'm not wearing any clothes, except for my chest,  and waist tied up with bandages. I tried to sit up until someone opened the door. A figure of a man with blonde hair and wearing a blue coat came in. I blushed in embarrassment and covered myself with the blanket because he saw me!

"You don't need to cover yourself.  I'm the one who fixed you up. Are you feeling any better? By the way, the name's Alucard." He told me. I brought down the blanket up to my stomach still hiding my private area.

"W... Why am I here? Where are my clothes?" I asked in great confusion.

"You're clothes we're pretty wrecked up with your fight with Vexanna. So I took them off and let the tailors make you a new one." He told me with a smile.

"You should have left my underwear on for the sake of my dignity!"

"Oh that? It was looking a bit too old and damaged, so I also told the tailor to make you a new one."

"I just bought that last month!" I told him. "Oh never mind, I'm going to get a new one anyway. And. Before I got here, What happened?"

"Oh, yeah. You had this fight with Vexanna that almost killed you so I rushed in to take you back here in Moniya." He answered.

"I'm in Moniya?" I said in shock.

"Yes you are." He replied back.

Then suddenly, the nurse came in.

"How's the patient going?" She aked. She looked like a doll in white, but with a link blouse and a Blue Ribbon on her head.

"Hi, I'm Angela. I am the nurse here in Moniya! Now let's check those burn marks."

"Don't worry, she's the best nurse in the empire. You'll get healed in no time." He said.

She went in slowly towards me.

"Okay, I want you to stay still. We'll remove your bandages and see your progress." She said with a soft caring voice.

"Be gentle." I said.

So she slowly unwrapped the bandage in my chest. To be honest, it kinda hurts. And when it was removed, i winced in pain. Looking through myself in the mirror, i saw the damage she had done to me.

"You suffered a third degree burn in your chest area, but it's healing pretty well."

"Wow! Thanks. How long I'll be able to stay here?"

"Three more days. You need a lot of rest. "

"I see." I replied back. And she wrapped another bandage on ny chest.

"Okay now let's check on your waist area." She said.

"My waist area?" I blushed in embarrassment.

"Do you feel uncomfortable?" She asked me.

"Yes! I do." I told her.

"Okay then, I'll step outside and Alucard could check it for you." She said, and went out.

Well that was embarrassing. But at least a boy will check me out rather than a girl. So when the door closed, he came to me.

"Well, she's gone. Let me have a look." He said. And went to pull down my blanket, but... He pulled it too low that I'm not wearing it anymore. I blushed so much and tried to cover myself.

"Alucard!" I yelled, trying to cover myself with my hands.

"Oops, sorry, i guess i don't know my own strength. And stop reacting. I saw you naked longer than you think." He said.

"How long?" I asked.

"Three hours. After taking off your clothes, it took the inn staff three hours to find you a blanket because for them, it is wash day."

This made me blush even more!

"Oh my gosh Alucard! How much of my dignity have you taken?"

"Why are you blushing? Do you have a crush on me?" He teased me.

"Stop it! You act like an older brother I never had!"

"Wait, you don't have a sibling?"
He asked me.

"I'm the only child." I said.

"Well, do you want me to be your older brother?"

"Yes... Since I'm so lonely and I don't have a sibling. And, you also saved my life." I said.

"Wait... You're lonely? Don't you have a friend in the enchanted forest?" He asked me... And suddenly, memories of yesterday flashed back into my head. I held the necklace she gave to me, and bursted into tears.

"I had one. But she was probably killed by now, thanks to the cruel emperor of the Dark Abyss. This necklace was the only thing she gave me. I failed to save her, and my people. But I am no match for her. Vexanna! That Bulldog! I will crush her!"

"My condolences." He said and hugged me. And I hugged him back. I suddenly received the comfort I am longing for to soothe my aching heart. When we let go of each other I asked him.

"By the way, Alucard, how old are you?"

"I'm twenty." He said and suddenly, we heard a voice.

"Alucard! What's taking so long! Are you still examining the patient? Or is it something else going on in there?"

I blushed so hard on what she had said. Then, Alucard did to me.

"Don't mind her, she loves to tease everyone. Now let me examine you." He said.

I nodded and found a place to sit comfortably in the bed. And slowly, he peeled it off trying to be gentle. And when the bandage is removed, I saw that it is almost healed.

"Wow! Fast recovery. And don't worry, your clothes will come in within a few hours. So get used to being like this for a few hours." he said.

"Okay fine." I said. "Anyway, I feel a bit sleepy, I think I should sleep more.

"Okay!" He replied. "I'll be back when your clothes are ready." And he went out of the room.

I slowly laid myself down on the bed and took a pillow and slept on my left side, hugging the pillow with both my arms and legs, until I drifted to sleep.
