Mercy:
I sat on my floor folding my clothes into my suitcase for the weekend. I notified one of my professors about the trip and why I'd be missing class. He said that I was the one paying for classes and it'll be my responsibility for catching up. Tonight I'm leaving to go spend time with Kania for the weekend. I really miss her and even though I am in college she is still my responsibility.
Bonnie and Clyde by Tink signaled that I was getting a call. I didn't bother setting a different ringtone for everyone in my contacts so I had no idea who could be calling me this afternoon.
Caprice flashed on my screen and I quickly answered it. "What's up girl?"
"Nothing much. I'm waiting on Beau. We're going to some hangout spot on campus."
I know the only good hangout spots were Froyo, they have the best desserts and candy, and Bay Grill, where good food is always available and good music. I'm actually going to start working at Bay Grill soon.
"Oh that sounds like fun."
"Kinda. I'm just ready for us to be exclusive. He be acting oblivious when all those hoes be on his jock. Like boy make sure they know there place. He probably just trying to make me jealous."
"He probably is or maybe he just a player trying to get some cookies. Set him straight."
I know Caprice is rolling her eyes as she said, "Girl I know. Beau know he ain't getting my cookies so soon. They still hot and baking. He better stop trying to dip himself in before he get burned."
I laughed at my crazy best friend. This girl be saying some weird shit. "I don't know how Beau put up with you."
"Cuz I'm a bad bitch and them hoes that be all over him ain't got nothing on Caprice. But, what's up with you boo?"
I rolled my eyes this time. My girl a ten but she too conceited sometimes. "Packing. I'm going to spend time with Kania this weekend."
"Oh. Me and Naveah will miss you and give Nia kisses for me."
"I will. You know she love you."
"Duh. I'm her godmother."
There's a knock at the door and I get up to answer it, "And her godmother better have her some presents because you know she'll be turning three in December."
"You know I got you."
Opening the door I wasn't expecting my asshole of an ex. What the hell?
"Caprice I'll talk to you later."
"Alright boo."
Hanging up the phone I tried closing the door in his face but he used his foot to stop me.
His Jordans halfway into my dorm. "Aye. You really going to mess up my new pairs?"
"Well you better move your feet before I do."
Karson pushed against the door and I wasn't backing down as I pushed to. Unfortunately his ass won. "I just want to talk." He stepped into my dorm shutting the door behind him.
"You sure had a lot to say a few days ago. Are you not satisfied?" I shouted at him. He just makes me so vexed. All he does is put me down lower than I already am. Why can't he leave me alone?
Karson tried to touch me but I slapped his hands away and stepped back a little.
"Don't touch me asshole."
Karson clenched his jaw, "You make shit so difficult. I'm trying to apologize to you and you brushing me off like I'm some clown."
"Which you are." I stated off matter-of-factly. He is a bum ass little boy. He expects shit to be given to him like he some king.
