Mercy:I stood at the cash register waiting for this guy to decide on what he wants. While he was doing that I was thinking of ways to get back at Caprice. How could she have sex with Karson? There's a lot of guys out here and she just had to go for my ex?
Where they do shady shit like that at? Caprice has been blowing up my phone. I've been ignoring and avoiding her all week. Karson tried talking to me and I completely brushed him off. If he thinks I want to be his friend now he got another thing coming.
Karson ain't shit. Focusing back on the guy holding up the long line I finally snapped, "Damn. You hungry or nah? Cus' other people want to eat. Taking yo precious ass time."
The guy scowled at me before saying, "I'll just have nachos and a cold beer. That's it."
Took him that long to figure that out? I punched in his order in the cash register, "Large, medium or small?"
"Medium please."
"Alright that'll be $6.67"
The guy handed me the money and I gave him back his change. He stepped to the side and now Caprice is stood in front of me.
"Look. I really don't want to get fired so can you just tell me what you want? No bullshit."
Caprice leaned against the counter and her eyes watered. "I didn't want to hurt you. I really didn't. Karson and I didn't fuck I swear. Yes I admit I was in his bed but we stopped."
Like that makes anything better. She still got in his bed. She still went behind my back and she even had the nerve to kiss him too.
"You ordering or nah? You holding up the line trick." Yes I went there. Caprice ain't nothing but a gold digging ho.
"I'm really sorry Mercy. If I could take shit back I would."
"I'm moving my shit out. I can't stand even looking at you right now let alone living with you. You ain't no friend to me or Naveah."
Caprice just stared at me before wiping her tears and leaving. She looked like she wanted to say something slick but she already know I'd beat her ass. She be over the counter in seconds.
Kelly placed her hand on my shoulder, "Don't sweat that broad. Girls like her only good for one thing. Spreading they legs and bruising they knees."
I had to laugh at that. Kelly real cool and I've come to consider her a friend after working with her this week.
"Some friends say they down for you but they quick to hop on yo man. Whether he an ex or nah."
"Ain't that the truth. Hey after work some of us going to this night club not too far from here. You wanna come?"
I haven't really been out lately and it would be fun to chill with some friends and have a good time.
"I'm down. You mind handling the cash register though and I'll wait tables?"
"Yeah I 'gotchu."
Leaving Kelly by the register I headed to table nine and as usual Matios sat there holding a menu. This dude come in everyday and order the same thing. I got his order memorized.
Not even taking out my notepad I crossed my arms and said, "Double cheeseburger with no pickles and go easy on the mayonnaise. Not American but swiss cheese. Also a large fry and a Jack Daniels ice cream float. Am I right?"
Matios looked up and his eyes weren't cold for once. Amusement flashed in his eyes. "You remembered my order mami."
His Spanish accent has a girl smiling over here. "You order the same thing everyday. Your life must be boring."
