As planned, I went to work at 12PM, after I woke up at 10PM. I got home late yesterday after all.

At these times, the Diner is pretty empty, compared to evening times. But since it's saturday, many people came here to eat late or second breakfast.

When it was 3PM, Ayumi decided to talk to me. "Y/N? May I ask you something?"

I was about to clean the dishes. I looked towards her. "Sure. What is it?"

She looked around, scratching her temples and then whispered. "How about we make a short break? I'm sure Mikami and Sora have everything under control"

I thought about Sora. He came back from vacation, so we just met. Sora has long, white straight hair and little girlish features in his face. He also wears make up and nail polish. And I like his fashion style, it really fits him. He doesn't care about what others think of him and his looks, he just does his thing. And I really admired that.

I nodded and followed Ayumi into the staff room. I sat down next to the table, while Ayumi made us coffee.

"So...", she started with her back facing me, standing infront of the coffee machine, "I heard of the incidence with...this boy who was here a few days ago. You talked to him, right? Who exactly was that?"

She held two cups of coffee in her hands and put one down for me on the table, and one for herself. I nodded in gratitude and then sighed.

"He is a childhood friend. We lost contact 10 years ago and now we met again"

Ayumi restet her head in her hands after taking a sip of the coffee. "Ohh, sounds interesting. And? What is it now? Are you two building up a bond again?"

I took a sip too and looked down. "I assume"

"But...?", she tilted her head, obviously not believing that was all.

I sighed again. I didn't know if I could tell her about my worries. After all, we're just workmates. And she's way older than me. Well, I guess the was 20 so maybe only 4 years, but still...

I decided to trust her and tell her about it. After all, Ayumi could be a good friend too, not only a workmate.

"Am I really so readable for you?", I giggled a bit, and she returned it.

"It's just obvious that there's more about him than just a childhood friend. So, if you don't have a problem with it, tell me everything. I could help you with him", she suggested and grinned, taking another sip.

I blushed slightly. "I'm not in love with him. It's just...". And then I told her the same I told Ryuji. Without revealing my past, nor my circumstances. Only my emotions before and after the meeting.

Ayumi listened to me while slowly drinking her coffee. She nodded in understanding. "I see. So you connect a deep emotion from the past with...Akechi, right? So...what happened that makes you feel this way?", she tried to press out of me.

'Shit'.

I tried to search for a lie, but I didn't come up with a thing, so I just said: "I....would prefer to not talk about my past. I'm sorry"

"Oh, I'm sorry for pressing you. It's okay, but know that I'm there for you, okay? If you want to talk to me, you know where to find me. And...", she pulled out her phone, "just in case, why don't we exchange contact infos?"

I smiled at her. "Sure! Thank you, Ayumi!"

While we were exchanging our contact infos, the door for the staff room opened. Sora passed through the door and looked at us.
