Hey guys! I'm having so much fun writing this story and your comments keep me inspired so please keep them coming. I also wanted to say that if any of you read my Jimmy fanfic, Smoke and Mirrors, and have been asking for updates on it, then you should know that I have finally updated it so check it out :) Also, I took the time and edited Pleasure's All Mine This Time. It's a bit old and needed freshening up.

“Don’t you think that it’s pretty ridiculous that Zack has decided not to come with us?” Chloe raised an eyebrow and glanced over her shoulder, where she saw Alex buckling up in the back seat.

“He’s so weird.” Alex rolled her eyes hastily and sucked in the inside of her cheek in annoyance. “He’s scared he’s going to run into his ex or something.” Alex mumbled and crossed her legs.

Brian’s brow crinkled and gazed at Alex over the rim of his black Ray Ban’s. “What’s wrong with all you people?” He shook his head disapprovingly and glanced at Chloe momentarily, who started blushing. “Is this ex awareness month or something?” He asked sarcastically, making Chloe chuckle. “Lilly lives in New York, as far as I’m aware. Why would she even be here?” Brian muttered while turning back the steering wheel. “Honestly, you’re all driving me crazy.” He stated, referring to Zack’s sudden absence from the visit to Cam Rackham’s gallery and Chloe’s worries about his ex-girlfriend, who was also attending the event.

“Brian, how would I know? Maybe because all of your other friends are going to be there. ” Alex replied monotonously and propped her stiletto clad foot against the back of the leather headrest of his car seat, an action he seemed not too fond of. “It’s not like I’ve ever met any of your old friends.” Alex explained, referring to Melody, Lilly and that Cara woman, while messing with her cell phone. “All I know is that they had a bad breakup.” She mumbled absentmindedly. Then she looked up when something occurred to her. “You know, now that I think about, it’s pretty much what Zack had said about your split from that girl you dated.” Alex observed.

Chloe sank deeper into her seat and wished to be invisible. Alex rarely knew when enough was enough. As she expected, Brian’s eyebrows crawled up his forehead and he briefly turned his head right to look at her. “You guys actually talked to Zack about it?” Brian snorted with amusement. He was grinning so broadly that it seemed like someone had forcefully stretched all the skin across his face, which made his cheeks freakishly pointy. “I knew dropping you off at their place was a bad idea.” He smirked.

“Maybe…” Chloe murmured shyly, finally slipping a word into the conversation. “He was really cool about it actually.” She added seriously. Alex hummed in agreement from the back seat.

“Was he really?” Brian questioned, biting the inside of his cheek slyly. “What did he tell you guys, that little bastard?” He asked curiously. “What ever happened to the Bro Code?” He shook his head while whispering humorously under his breath.

“He didn’t say much, to be honest…” Chloe shrugged truthfully. It was true, Brian did not need to know of the mini panic attack she had once she finally laid her eyes upon a picture of his ex. “Basically, he said that she was a bitch.” She smacked her lips tightly to stop the smile tugging on the corner of her mouth.

“That’s good.” Brian nodded repeatedly without actually giving his opinion on the matter. “Did that make you feel any better?” Smiling lightly, he reached his right hand out to stroke the side of Chloe’s face soothingly. She inhaled the scent of his leather jacket and bowed her head tardily while he touched his thumb to her chin. “Stop thinking into it, you’ve nothing to worry about.” Brian told her cheerfully and dropped his hand to rest on her bare thigh. “Alex, tell her, she wouldn’t believe me.” Brian searched for Alex’s reflection in the rear-view mirror.
