Teddy and Mike sat on the basement sofa, and El sat in her fort. There was a stricken silence between them all, the only sound being the supercomm that El was playing with.
"Stop that, please." Mike said. El didn't listen, and continued what she was doing.
"Are you deaf? I thought you were going to be our friend! You lied to us, you said Will was okay, that he was still out there! But he wasn't, he wasn't! Maybe you thought you were helping, but you weren't!" Mike snapped.
"Mike don't start this bullshit again—"
"You hurt me! Understand? What you did sucks!" Mike continued, completely ignoring his sister.
"Mike, seriously—"
"Shut up, Teddy! All you do is defend her!"
"Yeah, I defend her because you're being a total asshole!"
"Don't bullshit me. I know you defend her because you have a c—"
"Alright, keep talking and you're gonna get slapped again." Teddy snapped, shutting him up.
The three of them went silent again, hearing only the sound of radio static. The twins thought nothing of it, until they heard an unmistakable voice.
"So come on and let me know"
Teddy immediately stood up, and walked over to where El was sitting.
"Should I stay or should I go?"
Mike was the next one to stand up, his eyes wide.
"Should I stay or should I go now?"
Teddy and Mike both sat in front of El. She handed Mike the supercomm in her hands.
"Should I stay or should I go now?"
"If I go there will be trouble"
"If I stay it will be double"
"Will, is that you? It's Mike and Teddy! Do you copy? Over."
After Mike said that, Will's voice faded out, reducing to static.
