Chapter Ten:
The Bathtub💗
Teddy laid her hand gently on El's cheek as she finished washing the dirt off her face.
"There. That's better." Teddy said. Eleven turned to look in the mirror and she ran a hand over head, reminding herself of the absence of her "hair."
"You don't need it." Teddy spoke up.
"Still pretty?" El asked.
"Yeah, pretty, really pretty." Teddy replied.
"El?"
"Yes, Teddy?"
"I'm happy you're home."
"Me too." El finished.
By then, the girls' faces were centimeters apart. Teddy started to lean in, but Mike threw the bathroom door open, causing them to jump apart, and Teddy's face to flush red.
"Guys! It's Lucas! We think he's in trouble!"
Teddy and El ran out of the bathroom toward the coffee table where the supercomm was.
"We think Lucas might've found the gate." Dustin said, grabbing the supercomm.
"What's he saying?" Teddy asked.
"I don't know! He's way out of range!" Dustin replied, handing the supercomm to Mike.
"Lucas, if you can hear us, slow down, we can't understand you." Mike said into the supercomm.
Jumbled sentences and phrases emitted out of the radio while Dustin tried to dissect them.
"Mad hen, does that mean anything to you? Like a code name or something?"
"The bad men are coming!"
"Bad men...bad men!" Mike put the supercomm in his backpack and ran up the stairs with Dustin and Teddy.
"Stay here!" He told Eleven.
The trio ran to the window and saw a parked van outside labeled Hawkins Power and Light. They all exchanged looks of nervousness, and Mike asked, "What's that guy doing?"
"You don't think..." Dustin started, and everyone's eyes widened, a million thoughts going through their brains.
"Oh fuck!" Teddy shouted suddenly before closing the curtains and running to find her brother.
