Halloween was Teddy's least favorite holiday.
It's been that way since she was 9 years old, when she ate some bad candy and got sick. And now, 4 years later, she still has a grudge against the holiday.
So this morning, she obviously wasn't in the greatest mood.
Her brother, on the other hand, was in the best mood that he'd been in in a while. Will, Lucas, Dustin, and himself were dressing up as the Ghostbusters.
"All right, that's the last one." Mike sighed, annoyed with their mom's over-exaggerated photography.
"No, just one more. Come on, please?" Mrs. Wheeler pleaded. "Teddy you get in this one too."
"But I'm not even wearing a costume." Teddy replied.
"Alright fine." Mrs. Wheeler sighed, before snapping another picture of Mike.
The four boys rode into the schoolyard singing the Ghostbusters theme song, each with a big smile on their faces. Teddy lagged behind them, the disinterest showing on her face.
"Still have a grudge against that one bad piece of candy, Teddy?" Dustin asked.
"Of course, because now I know that if I really want candy, I can scavenge the money and buy it myself instead of getting food poisoning again." Teddy replied.
"Whatever you say."
Teddy put her back on the rack and walked off, ignoring the rest of the boys' conversation.
I hope this day goes by fast.

After class, Teddy met Max at her locker, only to be met with Lucas and Dustin as well.
"Hi, Max. I'm Dustin, and this is—"
"Lucas."
"Yeah, I know." Max replied. "The stalkers."
Teddy chuckled.
This is gonna be hilarious.
"Uh, no. Actually...we weren't stalking you." Lucas said.
