Jeanine had me under her skin. She wrote reports about my father, made me laugh at the disgusting things she was saying. I had 1 day left before I had to begin my research.
In the duraition of the time I have been in Erudite, I have aquired glasses. They made me look smarter, even if I didn't need them.

Lying in bed that night, I remembered it was visiting day tomorrow. I wondered if mother or father would visit. I knew, deep down I wanted them to come, but I also knew deep down, they weren't going to.

They were woken early, so they could be ready for the parents arrival, looks smart and proper. Jeanine also announced that no Abnegation scum would set foot in this building, so I guessed that was me done then.
"Mate, don't worry about not being able to see your parents," Adam came over and sat on the bench with me.
"No, it's just..." I began, but Adam cut me off.
"Dude, they aren't being fair, not letting your parents in like this, but you don't want them to die, do you?" Adam was getting impatient, I could hear it in his voice. But... I didn't know what I wanted. If my parents were the lying scum Jeanine said they were, then maybe I did want them dead. But if they... if they were the loving parents I had experienced for 16 years of my life, them I wanted to embrace them amd say sorry for leaving.
"I... I... I guess you're right." I let a small smile play on my lips. I'd opted for the easy option, agree, and let it go. It was still quite hard.
I noticed a few transfers without parents, one was a small, Dauntless born boy, who had dark ginger hair and a kind of permanant frown on his face. He looked the most promising, so I walked over to him.
"Your parents not come?" I asked him, trying to make convosation.
"No. They are probably glad I transfered away. They hated me." That was abrupt. I decided to keep going.
"But... why?" I asked.
"I was never brave or strong. I was a right coward." He replied, his frown being replaced by a wobbly half-smile.
"Oh. I don't think I was selfless enough to stay Abnegation." When I mentioned my old faction, the boys face turned sullen again.
"You're lucky, you know. At lease your parents might have wanted to come and see you. They're not allowed in, right? But my parents, probably rejocing my departure." Wow. He really did care. I felt sorry for him.
"I'm Caleb. What's your name?" I asked, trying to start afresh.
"Callum. I'm Callum, nice to meet you Caleb." He smiled, and I was glad he was loosening up a little!
"So, do you like Jeanine?" I asked, wanting some more opinions the Erudite leader.
"Um... she is very opinionated. By she is so clever! I wish I could be like that!" Callum said, obviously jealous. I was, a little, I guess!

After the parents had gone, we carried on with our planning and preparation. I couldn't concentrate though, something was bugging me, but I couldn't quite pinpoint what. Maybe it was my parents, Beatrice, or maybe it was something Callum had said. I just... wasn't sure.
The professor came over, so I put my head down and kept typing in my ideas onto my laptop. It was sleek and blue, again, the Erudite colour.
My head hurt by the time I got to bed that night. I had done so much thinking and working, but, that is the consequence of being an Erudite!! I fell asleep, the rhythmical breathing of the others helping me to pass out.
