The Dance of Death pt1.

Today is the day. The day I have dreaded ever since....... ever since I said yes. The homecoming dance. I'm sitting in my science class not paying attention to our lecture on genetics and punnet squares, when my teacher, Mr. Crawford, yelled at me for not paying attention.

"Jax Preston! Earth to Jax Preston!" Everyone looks at me. Mr. Crawford says my name once again before I snap out of my daze.

"Now that you're finally paying attention, maybe you can explain why you weren't during detention."

Did I hear that correctly? I just got a fucking DeTeNtiOn, shit I've never gotten detention before. Mr. Crawford walks over to where I'm sitting and hands me a green slip. He gives me a look, ya know that teacher look saying don't let it happen again. He continues the class and everyone prys their eyes off of me, thank god. Besides the detention, my day was really boring, neither Willow or Casey was at school.

I walk into the detention room. I probably look like a lost puppy right now. I walk all the way to the back of the room and find a desk to sit in. I'm glad that there's no one else in the room with me. I may have just jinxed myself because the door swings open and in comes Kenzie and Blanely. They glance at me and Kenzie whispers something into Blanely's ear. This goes on for a few more seconds yntil they both nod their heads. They both start walking towards me and take the desks on either side of me.

Damn it!!!

Mr. Crawford walks in before I can protest.

"I hope you ladies are glad I won't be putting you on clean up duty for the homecoming dance I won't be able to monitor you for the first half of your detention today so you will be on your own. Don't even try to leave or next time you'll be scraping the gum from under all the desks in the school." With that Mr. Crawford leaves just as fast as he came in. Blanely smiles at me.

"Well, look what we have here Kenzie someone must have left their trash laying around the halls again." Kenzie laughs at Blanley's remark. I get up to move seats but Kenzie roughly grabs my arm and pulls me back down in my seat.

"You're not going anywhere bone girl. Now tell us why you were with Casey and Willow at the mall?" Kenzie and Blanely started interrogating me with questions. Why the hell would they even ask me about Casey and why I was with her? Like seriously it was no big deal I mean we do hate eachother so hanging out in the same place peacefully is kinda sketchy.

"Ok both of you shut the fuck up!" Blanely and Kenzie's mouths dropped at my sudden outburst.

"I don't care what you think about me and Casey hanging out ONE TIME! Besides it was Willow who invited both of us but I didn't know ok so now shut the fuck up and leave me the hell alone!" Blanely and Kenzie were still shocked they turned their heads away from me abd started texting on their phones. Eventually Mr. Crawford came back and we continued our detentions in complete silence.

LATER THAT DAY.....

It was 8 p.m. I was finishing putting my makeup on When i heard a knock at my door.

"Come in!" I hear the door open and close. The Soft clicks of heels come towards my direction. Willow arrives in her two piece blue dress.
God she looks beautiful.

"You look absolutely gorgeous Jax!" I blushed at her comment. Willow must've noticed this because she let out a small chuckle.

"Off we go then?" I look at her hooked arm and loop mine through hers.

"Off we go."
