I Sing Because I want To

Shawn was in your lounge room strumming his guitar, doing a Livestream on his Instagram. You were in the shower down the hall. Shawn waved at his viewers.

"Hey guys, how you going?"

He smiled as comments and hearts flooded his screen. "So I'm just letting you know that tour dates are being released midnight tonight. Therefore I'm just going to tell you some of the places I will be travelling to, plus some of the songs I will be performing,"

Minutes later Shawn was interrupted by your favourite song that was written by your boyfriend. You were in your bedroom, singing loudly, knowing that even though you couldn't sing, Shawn didn't care. He just liked watching you laugh and dance around.

You grabbed your phone - not noticing the Livestream notification - and walked out into the lounge dancing and singing. Shawn laughed, slightly moving the camera so it was on you. As a joke, you stood behind the couch with your back to Shawn. You bent backwards with your head upside down. You spread your arms wide while sliding down the back of the couch, headfirst into Shawn's lap.

It was then you noticed what he held in his hands. You quickly sat on top of the headrest and punched your boyfriend in the shoulder. He laughed and you stopped the music on your phone. His smile slowly faded when he saw the comments on his phone.

"Babe?" you asked, "what's wrong?"

"Nothing,"

Frowning, you snatched his phone before he could end the Livestream. You saw the hateful comments about your singing and dancing. Some even said that he should dump you and go back to Camila.

Your reaction surprised Shawn. You laughed. "I know I can't sing," you said to his viewers. "Just because you're not good at something, doesn't mean you can't do it. I sing because I want to,"

You then moved to sit next to your boyfriend. Pride was on his face and love-filled his eyes. "To those who write those hate comments..." you grabbed Shawn's chin and turned his head towards you. Smirking, you kissed him hard but with much love. It took him a second to register what you were doing, but in no time he started to kiss you back.

After what felt like a long time, you both broke apart. You turned to his phone and waved to the camera. "I love you all!" You said smugly. You then returned the phone to Shawn so he could continue the Livestream.
