You and Shawn were at your favourite Italian restaurant. You laughed as Shawn slurped his pasta into his mouth. You were soon interrupted when a male voice called your name. You turned your head and was shocked as a boy of your age walked up to your table.

"Hey y/n," your ex-boyfriend from high school said, "how are you? Long-time no see,"

"Ah yes," you said. You stood up and hugged him. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm passing through, travelling for work," he looked at you from head to toe. You could almost feel the distaste radiating off Shawn. "I must say, you look better than ever. You must be the boyfriend,"

"Fiancé," Shawn gritted through his teeth. .You watched him from the corner of your eye. His eyes were dark and the vein in his neck was visible. He was mad.

"Anyway," your ex smiled and handed you a card. "Here is my number, call me some time will you?"

"Sure," you took the card. "It was nice to see you,"

"You too y/n," he hugged you tight. He then turned and left.

"You are not going to call him," Shawn commanded.

"Why not?"

"Because I don't trust him,"

"Ok,"

"Ok?" Shawn asked, confused. You were stubborn and usually put up a fight.

"Ok, I won't call him." You chuckled at your fiancé's confused expression. You picked up the card and held it over the candle's flame in the middle of the table. The corner of the card caught a light. You both watched as the flames crept up the small piece of paper. You held it in front of Shawn, then you dropped it on your plate so it could turn to ash.

"I trust you Shawn, and if you don't believe that my ex has good intentions, then I won't go. You may see something that I don't, I trust you,"

Shawn leaned forward. "Have I ever told you how much I love you?"

You smirked and met him in the middle of the table, you could feel the heat from the candle. His eyes flickered from your eyes to your lips. He pushed himself closer to you so your lips were almost touching. "Not in the past ten minutes."

"BABE!" Shawn yelled.

"IN THE BEDROOM," You replied. You removed your glasses from your face and closed the book you were previously reading. You smiled as Shawn ran into the bedroom. He had a fearful expression on his face. "Woah Shawn, what's wrong?"

"I need to tell you something," he reluctantly sat on the edge of the bed," and I'm not sure how you are going to take it,"

"You ate the last muffin?" You raised an eyebrow.

"What? No...well yes but that isn't what I want to talk to you about," he started to fiddle with the ring on his finger.

"So you know how I do collabs with ther artists?" You nodded your head.

"Obviously, I have Youth on repeat,"

"Well since 'I know what you did last summer' was a hit, I was thinking I should do another duet with Camila," he leaned away, scared of your reaction.

"Is that it?" You huffed.

"Well, if I did this, it means that there will be late nights with Camila and I don't want you thinking that I am cheating because I - why are you laughing?"

You wiped away a tear, "I'm sorry, is that what you were worried about? That I would say no because I would think that you would cheat?"

Slowly, Shawn nodded. You placed your book on your nightstand and crawled to Shawn. You kneeled in front of him cupping his cheeks with your hands. "Shawn Peter Raul Mendes. You are my fiancé, my love and lover. There is no one in this world that I trust more than you. If you want to work with Camila, you work with Camila,"

"Really?"

You kissed his nose.

"Really."

He wrapped his arms around you and threw you on to the bed. He hovered over you, playing with the hem of your shirt.

"Now what did I hear about me being your lover?"
