Hey guys, sorry if the recent chapters seem not very good, I'm still tryna get into the writing again. Bare with me

A few hours after Zak left, Darryl was feeling anxious. What if he came home drunk again, if at all?

Eventually, Darryl heard the door opening and he immediately sat up on the couch.

"-yeah, that was funny. Alright, I'll see you later Caroline. Thank you."

"Of course, Zak. Let me know when we're going out again!"

Darryl's eyes widened at the sound of a girl's voice.

The door shut and Zak walked in with a smile, and waved at Darryl.

"Hey, who was that?"

"Huh? Oh, that was my friend, she just dropped me off." His eyes shifted as he replied.

"..just a friend?"

"What?"

"I said want a tend?! Chicken tenders? Let's order chicken tenders." He said, panicked.

Zak's eyebrows raised in confusion and just rolled his eyes.

"Sure, as long as they aren't spicy wings." He narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

"Okay."

"What was her name?" Darryl continued.

"What? Caroline."

"Is she pretty?"

"...I guess, why?"

"Just wondering if you guys are like.. yknow.."

Zak's face scrunched in anger.

"What?! Are you serious?"

Darryl's heart quickened at his tone.

"I'm sorry! I just thought.."

"Look, if I get into a relationship it's up to me to tell you, okay? My love life is none of your concern."

Darryl nodded with guilt. Zak started feeling terrible after yelling at him for something not even that bad.
He looks like a guilty puppy.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have gotten mad. I just need you to know while I'm getting rid of my feelings for you, I need you to let me have space."

Darryl's heart pounded.

He's getting rid of his feelings for me..

"Don't..." he whispered.

"Huh?"

"I mean yes, I understand." said Darryl.

What was I about to say..?
