Darryl's week after what happened was a blur. Him and Zak never interacted because neither of them knew what to say. They just went about their lives, except it wasn't normal. Everything they did felt emotionless and sad.

"Why did I think it was a good idea? I shouldn't have ever said anything.."

Darryl was lying on his bed for his free time. It's all he ever did nowadays when he had nothing to do.

"I don't know what to do anymore.." he muttered.

Meanwhile, Zak was doing the opposite. Going out everyday, only coming home at midnight. He would do anything to stay out of sight of Darryl. He felt incredibly guilty and didn't know how to talk to him.
Currently, he was at the grocery store.

Why did I come here of all places? We literally have a full fridge..

He bought some snacks anyways.

On his walk home, while eating some gushers, he checked his twitter. He smiled at some fan art and saw some of him and Darryl, which caused his smile to wilt. He realized he hasn't seen any tweets from him in a while.
He quickly checked his profile and saw nothing new.

This isn't good...

Finally, he arrived at his door. He took a deep breath and entered. As he slowly walked in, he saw Darryl asleep on the couch. Zak sighed in relief at the sight.
As he walked towards him, he realized he was muttering.
It sounded like he was saying 'I'm sorry'.

Without thinking, Zak kneeled down beside him and brushed the back of his hand across his cheek. Darryl's eyes slowly opened. As he realized Zak was in his face, his eyes widened.

Zak jumped and he fell backwards.

OH GOD OH GOD WHAT DO I SAY OH FU-

"Zak? What were you doing?" Darryl asked nervously.

"Sorry for uh waking you up, there was.. there was a mosquito on your cheek! Those things carry diseases, y'know, so I saved you." He tried playing it cool.

Darryl blinked and gave a confused face.

"Ok.. thank you then."

"Yeah...."

Zak put his hand on his neck and looked around awkwardly.

"Zak... can we talk, please..?"
