Cyrus quickly walked home and entered shutting the door behind him. Fighting back tears he stood there for a second. Then he placed his bag down on the couch and walked into the kitchen where his mom was cooking.

"Hey mom." He mumbled.

"Hey Cy! How was your day?" She asked turning to face him.

"It was good." Cyrus half smiled and grabbed a glass from the cabinet filling it with ice, then water. He stood their leaning against the counter.

"Hey mom?" He asked staring at the glass of water.

"Yes?" She said as she stirred the food.

"I have a crush." He looked at her. She quickly put down the spoon and walked over to Cyrus.

"Awe. My baby boy has a crush! Who is she?" His mom asked standing next to him. Cyrus stared down at the glass in front of him.

"She is actually...a he." Cyrus quickly looked at his moms face but looked away scared of her reaction.

"Sweetie, that's perfectly okay. So tell me about him. Do I know him?" His mom smiled. Cyrus was filled with relief. His mom was okay with him being gay. This was perfect.

"No...I only just started talking to him. He's so cute. He's has the most perfect green eyes and his smile. Don't even get me started on his smile! I just wanna tell him my feelings. But I don't know if he likes me. I don't even know if he likes boys." Cyrus sighed. His mom placed her hand on his.

"Cyrus any guy would be lucky to have you in their life. And if he doesn't like you it's okay. There's plenty of other fish in the sea. But it's okay to like him even if he's not into boys." His mom comforted him. He nodded.

"But what do I do with wanting to tell him." Cyrus looked over at his mom.

"Write him a letter."

"A letter?"

"Yeah confessing all of your feelings. But you don't actually have to give it to him. Just write it all down. It'll help." Cyrus lowered his eyebrows and thought.

"That's not such a bad idea." A smile grew on his face. Then he sniffed the air and looked at the pan on the stove. "Hey mom I think the food burning."

"Oh!" His mom got up and rushed over to the stove stirring the food. They both laughed.

"I'm gonna go write that letter." Cyrus stood up, leaving the glass of water. His mom nodded. Then he grabbed his bag from the couch and headed up to his room.

He sat down at his desk with a blank lined paper. Cyrus tapped the pencil rapidly. Then he began. "Dear Tj..." And once he started writing he couldn't stop. Then pencil just kept moving.

"Dinners ready." Cyrus' mom said from behind him. He jumped and turned around. He nodded. She smiled and walked out. He wrote the last few sentences and smiled at the letter. Then he walked over to the book case and put it in the human touch book.

He placed the book back and headed downstairs. It did make him feel better writing that note. His mom was right. Cyrus could never actually give the letter to Tj though. But he was ok with that.
