**Warning, this isn't very cohesive but I HAD to write something for my baby, 'Toshi!!**
You noticed him from the school grounds, it was your quirk after-all. The ability to see through solid objects and see at great distances, it wasn't something you really considered a 'cool quirk' but then again what was anyways? You were sitting alone, not because you had no friends but because you preferred the silence of the birds in the tree above you to the gossip your friends had to talk about. You had already eaten lunch and now simply enjoyed the wind of early autumn blowing by. You glanced up and noticed the purple-haired boy stealing glances your way, something in his tired and distant eyes made you want to talk with him. Making a note to never mention you had seen him and stole the same glances at him as he did at you.
"Hey, what're you staring at?" Mina's curious voice made you close your eyes in order to hide where it was you were looking.
"Just watching some birds, is it time to get back to class already?" She smiled brightly and nodded wrapping her arm through yours and pulling you up with or without you agreeing to it.
"Sure is, let's go!" You stole one more glance back to notice he had disappeared.
Once classes were over you were once of the last students to trickle out of the school and noticed the boy once more. You took a chance and walked over to him, matching his pace. You were far from being afraid to talk with people and it looked like he could really use a friend, whether he knew that or not.
"Can I help you with something?" He asked blunt and to the point with his hands in his pocket and no interest in talking with you.
"Thought you looked like you needed some company, I hope you don't mind me walking with you." You said with a smile on your face and he grumbled.
"Tch, whatever." It was a start!
Two months later and you two were now on a first-name basis, walked home together every afternoon and spent most of your lunch with him on the roof of the school. As time passed you really came to think of Hitoshi as a good friend, perhaps you even harbored feelings for him as he was your closest and the most misunderstood male friend. He was still reserved, still didn't tell you much about himself while at school but today was different. You both were going to a local cat cafe, it was a place you'd been with your brother a few times and loved it.
"Hey, you look nice." He said with a faint blush on his face and yours went red as well.
"Thank you, Hitoshi! Wanna get going?" He nodded and the two of you walked in comfortable silence hands occasionally brushing against one another making you both look around awkwardly.
"You like cats?" He blurted out and you silenced a laugh and nodded.
"I do, they are much easier to talk with most of the time." He agreed easily.
Making it into the cafe and finding a place to sit amongst the cats you both ordered some tea and a plate of shared snacks. You were surprisingly nervous, not usually your style but being here with him made you so happy and nervous all the same.
"Hey, so, what made you really talk with me that day? Most people don't bother me unless they need something from me but if you need something you certainly haven't made it obvious what that is. Is it out of pity?" You felt a deep pain in your chest and it must have shown on your face because his face resembled yours.
"If I tell you the truth you have to promise not to think of me as a creep, okay?" You blushed a bright red and focused solely on the teacup in front of you.
"Go on." He said, fully preparing himself for the truth and harsh reality he thought was coming.
"I had seen you on the roof of the school, you know, um, because of my quirk and I thought you looked lonely and like you needed a friend and I decided to try and be that friend for you." You were sure you sounded so incredibly stalker-ish that you were ready to pay for your tea and the snacks and leave until you heard him laugh.
"And here I was thinking I was being slick stealing glances at you from a distance, is that really the truth?" He asked he sounded so hurt. It was like he was desperate for a friend but so distrusting of the people who offered him that relationship.
"It is, I didn't mean to be rude." You met his eyes to prove to him that you were indeed telling him the truth.
"Then I won't feel bad about saying this then, go out with me? I enjoy your honesty and your company." He said it so confidently that it nearly floored you.
"Of course!" You laughed happily.
Two years later and you had both been through the wringer but you never once gave up on one another. You lay on the couch of your now shared apartment with Kota, Hitsoshi's cat, on your chest sleeping soundly with you. You had managed to get home from a recon mission and just passed out on the couch without even getting changed or cleaned up. The two of you worked wonders together, with you being able to find the enemy and a safe way to get to them so that Hitoshi was close enough to hear a voice and it was game every time. You enjoyed your missions with him the most but sometimes you both worked with others.
"Man, now I'm going to have to clean the couch." You stirred with a grumble.
"What was that?" You opened your eyes to see a familiar loving look in the eyes of the man you loved.
"Nothing, Baby. Do you want to get changed and cleaned up? You've made the couch a smelly mess." You narrowed your eyes at him but before you could say anything he placed a soft kiss on your lips effectively shutting you up of any protest.
"What would you be without me?" He asked as he pulled you up and into his chest.
"A dirty, sleepy mess on a couch?" You laughed together before kissing him.
"I love your kisses." He murmured against your lips.
"I thought you said I was smelly and messy?" You gave you a grin.
"You are." You smacked his arm and pulled away from him.
"I'm going to shower, apologize to Kota as well he was sleeping when you pulled him off of me. I love you, 'Toshi." You said with a smile.
"MERROOW!" Kota had a whole deal to say to Hitoshi and all of it fell on deaf ears as he watched you walk off into the bathroom.
"If you say so, buddy." He rubbed the cats head to hush him up before making his way into the bedroom to get some sleep himself.
"Mm?" Hitoshi grumbled as you curled into his side under the thick comforter.
"Goodnight, Toshi." Placing his arm around you he held you close, never in his wildest dreams had he thought he'd be able to have what the two of you have but here you were curled into his body, head resting on his chest. He let a lazy smile fall onto his lips before kissing your head.
"Goodnight, Baby."
