Chapter Three

Recap:

"Gemma, you ready?" she heard Jeremy's voice. She looked at herself one last time and proceeded out of her room and down the stairs. She saw Jeremy staring at her, his mouth dropped slowly.

"Jesus, Gemma you look beautiful." Gemma bit her lip and looked into Jeremy's eyes.

"You look very dapper." she smiled to her best friend.

"You ready to do this?" Jeremy asked. Gemma nodded and Jeremy extended his arm and Gemma took it. Because Gemma lived only a couple house down from the Lockwood mansion, it didn't take the pair too long to get there. But before getting out of the car they both put on their masks Jeremy got out of the car and ran to the other side of the car and opened Gemma's door, he extended his hand and she gladly took. Jeremy walked the pair to the trunk of his car and he took out a bag. They walked together to the entrance of the house and went inside. They met Bonnie right inside and walked upstairs and into one of the empty rooms. 

"I thought this room would work." Jeremy said looking at Bonnie and letting go of Gemma's hand.

"It's perfect." Bonnie said, Jeremy takes a weapon from the bag and Bonnie sits down and take out the grimoire.

"Is that the spell book I read about in my family's old journal?" Jeremy asked Bonnie

"It's my ancestor, Emily's. The spell I'm doing here is similar to the one that sealed the vampires into the tomb." Bonnie told Jeremy, she opens the grimoire and Jeremy puts the bag in the closet.

"Can you do all the stuff that's in there?" Jeremy asked turning towards Bonnie. Gemma walked to the window and looked down at the party that was going on below, she continued listening to the conversation Jeremy and Bonnie were having, but pretended not to be paying attention. She felt Jeremy's hand on the small of her back a short time later, and turned around to face him. 

"Are we ready to dance?" Jeremy asked smiling at her, Gemma nodded and saw Bonnie was waiting by the door.

"We need to let Stefan and Damon know the room's ready." Bonnie says while going down the stairs, she suddenly stops, "do you feel that?"

"What's the matter?" Gemma asked concerned with how her friend was acting. Bonnie starts walking towards a woman, they have a brief conversation before the woman walks away and Bonnie rejoins Jeremy and Gemma.

"Are you okay?" Jeremy asked

"I just got a weird vibe. Let's find Damon." Bonnie said going outside, the group sees Stefan out on the dance floor alone, when Elena suddenly appears behind him, but Gemma knows that it has to be Katherine because she knows the Elena is at home. Gemma sees them have a brief conversation before he takes her out on the dance floor. They continue talking when Aimee comes up and starts talking to the two. Katherine goes behind Aimee as if she was going to fix something, but instead she snaps her spine. Gemma finds herself feeling sick to her stomach as Katherine throws Aimme's dead body into Stefan's arms. Gemma sees Damon and leaves Jeremy's side and walks over to him, he pulls her into a room and Stefan soon joins him.

"I put the body in the trunk for now." Stefan said, he saw the look on Gemma's face and was by her side in an instant.

"Was she always so heartless?" Gemma asked the two brothers

"Yes," they said this in unison

"We'll dump her when we get back." Damon said, referring to Aimee's body.

"This is exactly what I didn't want Damon." Stefan said, Gemma left the room and went downstairs, she saw Matt, Tyler, and Sarah in Tyler's dad's office, Gemma walked in.
