When Gemma got up the next morning she went into her kitchen and grabbed a blood bag from the fridge, she went to walk upstairs but she saw Tyler was sitting in her living room.

"What are you doing here?" Gemma questioned.

"I came to apologize."

"Apologize?! You bit me. I could've died. I think we're way past apologies, Tyler."

"That's the problem. Klaus told me to do it and I said no. And then it happened anyway. Like, it was completely out of my control. That's why I had Caroline's mom call him..." Mr. Forbes walked into the house.

"Mr. Forbes?"

"Hi, Gemma."

"I thought, since he can resist compulsion, maybe he could teach me to resist the sire bond."

"Can you help him?" gemma asked Mr. Forbes

"I'm gonna try."

"Why?"

"Because he made a mistake and now he wants to make good. And I understand that."

"Go get dressed Gem, and we will go." Tyler told her. Gemma quickly went upstairs and got dressed, she put her hair up into a ponytail, she brushed her teeth and then rejoined the two men. They went outside and got into Mr. Forbes' car. They went into a cellar, Mr. Forbes chained Tyler up, Gemma stood beside Tyler.

"How do you know, this is gonna work?" Gemma asked.

"That's a process. It took decades, to train myself to resist compulsion. Brains like a muscle. The more you use it, the more it can do. A sire bond, at it's core, is about one thing... gratitude. If you believe you owe Klaus your life, ask yourself why." Bill said.

"I was cursed. Every full moon I had to change into a wolf. It was torture. Klaus took that away."

"He freed you from your pain and now you feel indebted to him. To break the sire bond you gotta make yourself turn. Own your pain then you'll owe Klaus nothing and you will be free."

"But how can he turn? It's not a full moon." Gemma questioned.

"He doesn't need one. You're a hybrid now, right? I mean, you can turn at will now, am I right?" Bill questioned.

"Yeah, but I don't know how to just start." Tyler said.

"You're making excuses."

"You don't understand! When I turn, I break every bone in my body."

"You asked for my help. This is the only way. How badly do you want your freedom?"

"Okay." Tyler said.

"Okay." Bill responded. Tyler starts to turn.

"I can't, I can't." he pleaded.

"Try harder." Mr. Forbes pushed.

"Can't he just rest for a second?" Gemma asked.

"We're doing this my way, Gemma. If you can't handle it, you should just go."

"He's right, Gemma. Just go." Tyler told her.

"What?! No! Tyler...!"

"Go, Gemma." Tyler tells her, Gemma leaves the cellar and goes back to her house, and starts to drink from another blood bag.She tried to call Jeremy who was still in Denver, but it went to his voice mail, so she left a message,
