The next morning Gemma got up and went into her bathroom, she turned on the shower, when she got in, she was instantly burned by it. She screamed out in pain and turned off the water. She felt herself healing. She wrapped a towel around her body and went outside and ran through the woods behind her house and went to the Salvatore's house, she went inside without knocking. Gemma enters the room and hears Stefan and Damon talking about Elena going to school, the brother's face her;

"Not that anyone asked me, but I think taking her to school is a great idea."

"Why are you here?" Damon asked

"Uh, blame it on your fancy water filters. Your house has the only vervain-free showers in town."

"Oh yeah. The mayor put vervain in the water supply." Damon said clicking his tongue, "so many people to kill."

"Yeah, Caroline told me it's about to get worse, so Liz could probably use a little help." Stefan looked at Damon.

"Fine, I'll go after the psychotic doppelganger. Stefan, you wanna go talk to the Sheriff?"

"Blondie, take her to school" Gemma smiled.

"Sounds like fun." Elena said emerging from the shower, completely naked. Stefan and Damon openly stare at her, but Gemma tires to avert her eyes, "what? It's nothing you guys haven't seen before." Elena wraps a towel around her body, covering herself up, "and as for the, uh, 'going to school' idea... I've got nothing better to do." Stefan clears her throat and nods at Damon.

"Elena, it would make me very happy if you went to school today. And studied hard- you know, get involved in whatever activities and please, for me, no matter what, don't eat anyone. Okay?" Elena nods. Gemma quickly showers and goes back home with Elena and gets dressed. When the two get to school Gemma walks away and calls Tyler;

"Hey, Tyler. It's me checking in. Things are just getting back to normal here, sort of. Elena's not quite there, but we're working on it." Gemma sees Elena across the hall, crumpling up a flyer, "look, I know I just leave these messages that when you do come home, it'll be like you never left... or that's the hope. Well, I'd better go. I love you, Tyler" Gemma sees Matt coming over to her and then Caroline joins them.

"Hey, have you seen Bonnie?"

"Yeah, I called her last night. She's fine. She's just a little drained from, you know, everything." Caroline said.

"Can't really blame her."

"Yeah." they see Elena walking towards them.

"I have an idea." she said holding up a flyer, "can you get me my old spot back on the cheerleading squad?" Elena asked Caroline.

"I mean, technically, yeah. I'm captain, but I thought you hated cheerleading." Caroline told her.

"I did, but now I think it would be really fun to jump around and toss people in the air. It's not like the routines are that hard." Caroline glanced at Matt, then smiles at Elena.

"I think that would make Damon really happy, he would love a hot girl in a cheerleading uniform." Gemma told her, Elena smiles vacantly back. Caroline and Elena walk away, leaving Gemma and Matt.

"You think Caroline can handle her if she goes crazy at that cheer hing?" Gemma asked Matt.

"Maybe it'd be best if you go as well." Matt suggested

"Fantastic." Gemma waits around for the cheerleading invitational to start, Gemma is standing next to Caroline and they see Elena and walk over to her.

"The uniform still fits. You look fantastic." Elena twirls, "we are totally gonna kick Grove Hills' ass." Caroline said happily.

"Yeah. Should be fun."
