(Alexandra's POV)
As we approached I got to study him a little closer. He towered over Linch ( then again everybody was taller than Linch) at maybe 6'6 he was only about 8 inches taller than I was. He was well built, like he worked out in spare time. He had a little stubble on his face. But it was styled like he was proud of it. Shaggy black hair and thick dark eyebrows made him look almost thoughtful . Simply leather pants and leather riding coat completed the whole " dashing hero" look.
He smiled easily as he spoke with Linch. Linch seemed to flourish as he spoke with him, until a shrill shout from Mona pulled him back to the kitchens.
" Henrick! It's been a long time my friend!" Inaya said." How was your journey here?"
Henrick turned and smiled when he caught sight of Inaya. He walked to us and hugged her.
" It has been too long Inaya. The trip was beautiful, as always."
Then he turned his gaze to me. He had deep, rich chocolate eyes.
" I don't believe we've met yet."
He bowed slightly. He looked up with a mischievous glint in his eyes. And I could tell that,if he wanted to, he could be a bunch of trouble. I decided that if this was the land of dreams, he would do next what I expected. I tested that theory.
I curtsied.
" No, we haven't had the pleasure yet." I held out my hand. " My name is Alexandra, I'm very pleased to meet you Henrick."
He smiled slyly and did just what I thought he would do! He took my hand gently and kissed it ever so slightly.
" The pleasure is all mine Alexandra."
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Inaya nod slightly in a approving way. A smirk was plastered on her face. I couldn't help but smile myself.
" Please" Inaya said. " Let's sit and talk, I have feeling dinner will be done shortly."
She guided us towards the far end of the dining hall. There was a fireplace at least six feet deep and seven feet tall. A warm cheery fire blazed inside. Around it sat a group of satin couches and chairs. I again marveled at the vast luxury of the dining hall. I sat on a rich blue sofa and studied the hall. The high ceilings were painted beautifully with clouds and angels. It reminded me of the ceiling in Beauty and The Beast. Pillars rose from floor to ceiling. They were round and carved with designs like vines. I realized that the walls weren't just cold hard rock, they glinted and sparkled whenever the light hit it in just the right way. The walls were made of some sort of crystal.
Inaya sat beside me and chuckled.
" Yes, I never get tired of this room either." She said as if reading my thoughts. I must've been gawking as well.
" You should see it when she opens to curtains." Henrick said.
" There's a window in this room?" I asked. I probably sounded like a child, but there was so much to take in! So much beauty.
Inaya sighed, stood up, then walked over one of the glittering walls. She grabbed a cord that I didn't see before and pulled. Satin curtains that blended in with the walls parted to reveal the view. I gasped. The window was floor to ceiling and it took up one whole wall. We were up on the side of a mountain looking down over the forest. The sun was just setting, painting the sky once again with those marvelous colors. Without thinking I got up and walked over. I could feel my jaw hanging down nearly to the floor, but it didn't really register.
