Author's note
Hey guys! This chapter is a bit longer than the rest but I hope you enjoy it. It has a horror kind of vibe I'm sure those horror lovers will like!

Okay now, enjooooy♡

As I walked into the library, I thought about how I'd been in this particular room so many times and smiled.

Yup, this was definitely my favourite place in the world.

I handed my card to the librarian and she smiled at me.

"Here for another romance book?"

I blushed.

"Actually, I'm here for a crime thriller and some horror."

Ms Leigh (the librarian) raised an eyebrow.

"A crime thriller and some horror, huh? I never knew you could be such a ghoul." She said, laughing.

I joined in politely as she typed away on her computer.

Finally, she looked up.

"Aisle 8, shelf 13."

I smiled and collected the card.

"Thank you very much Ms Leigh."

She smiled.

"Anytime."

As I turned away and began walking, she stopped me, making me to stop in my steps.

"Oh, and, Anna?"

I turned.

"Yes?"

She had a strange look on her face. One that scared me. Alot.

"No one's been on that aisle for some time now."

I looked into her eyes.

"The lights are a bit shaky and the place has a creepy vibe."

She crooked her finger, signaling me closer.

"There's only one table and one chair there.
An old, rickety thing. A piece of junk right under the shaky light fixture."

I swallowed, my palms sweaty, my heart beating and the card pinching my skin that was tightly balled as a fist.

"Don't let the bugs bite. They're all over the table."

She was trying to tell me something but I just couldn't grasp it. I was scared out of my mind for just some words uttered by a librarian.

When she kept looking into my eyes and she saw I didn't get the message, she forced a creepy smile on her face and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Oh, well. It's the perfect place for reading horror books. The perfect setting. You, your books and the table. Alone. All by yourself. Almost as if you were deserted!" She rambled. Still trying to communicate intensely.

Overcome by fear, I ripped my hands of the table and forced myself to turn away.

"Thanks." I muttered.

Aisle 8, shelf 13 was creepy. The whole place looked like a hell hole and there was, like Ms Leigh had mentioned, one chair with a table in the middle. Straight under a shaky light fixture.

The light kept flickering on and off, on and off, on and off.

I sat myself down and opened one of the books.

'DEAD BUT ALIVE'

That was the title of the book.

I was on page twenty, really getting into the book and enjoying the quiet when I heard a low rumble.

I dropped my book and turned around.

"Um...hello?"

I looked at the bookshelf.

"Is anyone behind there?"

I turned back to my book and in no time, was lost in it again.

Another rumble.

I turned, getting pretty annoyed.

"Hello?!?!" I drawled.

I turned to my book and rolled my eyes.

After a few minutes. Another rumble was heard and I scoffed, still on the book.

"I'm not falling for it again dumbo."

But my not turning back was a fatal mistake.

Just as I turned the page, I felt a claw wrap around my throat and the sleek, hard, body of a huge bug.

"Rrghh rrgh"  It rumbled.

I suddenly understood Ms Leigh's behaviour.

She had been giving me a warning.

I let out a soul shattering scream.
