#4 ~ Break Up

"You can't just walk away," Sandy continued, holding her Starbucks' coffee tightly.

"Of course I can. I'm doing it right now." Asher said, walking away.

Sandy grabbed his wrist and dragged him back, tears pooling in her eyes.

"What's wrong with you?! I saw you kiss her!" She shouted, beating her fists on his chest.

He stood there and took it, silent and regretful.

"You betrayed me! I'll never forget this!" She stopped hitting his chest and turned to grab his purse.

"We're done. We're over. We're finished! I never want to see you again!"

Asher grabbed her wrist this time.

"You can't mean that, Sandy. It was a mistake!" Sandy slapped his hand off hers in irritation and disgust.

"A mistake? You call that a mistake?! Kissing another girl is not a mistake. Forgetting my bath shoes in the shower is a mistake you jerk!" And she really broke down then, crying hard.

Asher bit his lower lip and ran a hand through his hair.

"I'm sorry Sandy. I really am."

Sandy shook her head.

"You may be sorry, but that doesn't change anything. You've broken our trust, our bond. It's over between us."

Asher shook his head.

"No, no, Sandy, please."

Sandy began to walk out of the door before he spun her around by her shoulders.

"Sandy please..."

She fought against his hands on her shoulders and began to swing her purse at him angrily.

"Get off me! Get off!!!"

She smacked the purse on his arms, spun around and ran out of the door, sobbing.
