Kathy stared at the creepy door in front of her and sighed.
"Must we always be in this type of situation? Creepy doors and whatnot?"
Lexi sighed. "I don't know but for now, I think so."
Kathy shook her head sadly before shrugging it off and flicking her golden locks to the side. "Let's just get this door open."
They both pushed the dusty door with all their might but it didn't budge.
"Huh," Lexi puffed "It won't budge."
Kathy smacked her forehead. "I can't believe we've been this stupid! Of course the door would be locked." Lexi groaned.
"We don't have the key though." Kathy sighed and started moving around the passage, looking in corners and boxes.
"What are you doing?" Lexi asked incredulously. "This is not a time for looksie."
Kathy rolled her eyes.
"What does it look like I'm doing? Looking for the key of course!"
"Oh," Lexi muttered "I'll join in."
They both searched for a long time before they stopped, sweating and defeated.
"This is ridiculous. First we get ourselves into this mess, then we find a locked door and now we can't find the stupid key!" Kathy ranted, feeling anything but happy.
Lexi frustratingly raised the mat in front of the door and threw it across the room. "This is so stu-" Her words were cut off with a surprised "-whoa!"
Kathy rushed over to her.
"What's wrong?"
Lexi was grinning triumphantly, her eyes shining. "Look," she said, and pointed to the place that had been covered by the mat. Lying on the floor was the unmistakable key to the creepy door.
