The two lovers walked hand in hand after their date cutting out the brakes in a local resident's car. The two watched as Harold swerved into the sunset. It truly was a beautiful sight in their eyes.
Larry walked Mya home that night as they laughed about how their neighbor Harold won't be back to steal their mail ever again. Mya hugged him goodbye and walked into her home to meet her parents sitting in the living looking not too happy.
"There you are, young lady! You know your curfew is at nine o'clock." Her father, Jose, scolded.
"So," She said popping a bubble with her mouth. "Don't care."
Mya started towards her room when her mother, Maria, grabbed her arm pulling her back.
"Don't leave when I'm talking to you!" Maria sighed and pulled at her nose. "That boyfriend of yours is a bad influence. You used to be such a sweet girl."
"He is not a bad influence!" Mya yelled back. "I've always been like this, you just never knew! YOU DON'T KNOW MY LIFE!"
"Don't raise your voice at me, young lady! I'm your mother and you will treat me with respect!" Maria shouted.
"How's this for respect?!" Mya spat in her mother's face. "You can't boss me around anymore!"
Mya ran up to her room in a fit of anger and slammed the door. Maria wiped off the spit in disgust. She went to Mya's room only to find the door locked.
"YOU ARE FORBIDDEN FROM SEEING LARRY EVER AGAIN!" Maria shouted through the door. "YOU HEAR ME?! NEVER EVER! You'll be lucky if I even let you see the sun tomorrow!"
Mya's mother went downstairs to angrily cook tacos while Mya's father angrily folded the laundry. Mya cried while she threw darts at her family's portrait.

Larry strolled into his room to see his stepfather standing in the kitchen making dinner. He tiptoed, trying to get past when he saw him.
"About time you got home," He said setting down the ladle in her hands. "Where have you been?"
"With the bae," Larry replied, not looking at him.
"Well, I think you two have been spending too much time together. It's distracting you from your studies."
His stepfather walked over to the table and pulled out a past report card. "Just look, you went from straight A's to straight F's. Very unacceptable."
He merely shrugged. "Look at me when I'm talking son," He growled.
"I don't have to, Hank! YOU'RE NOT MY DAD!" Larry screamed.
"I-" he stopped.
"The point is, this Mya girl is a distraction and I'm not allowing to see her until your grades improve." He revealed.
Larry gasped a breath of disbelief. "Y-You can't do that!"
"I just did," Hank said, narrowing his eyes.
Larry fled to his room and slammed the door angrily. He grabbed his phone and started tapping away.
"Hank, the wannabe dad, says I can't see you anymore :(" Larry texted.
"My sorry excuse for parents said the same thing! >:(" Mya replied.
"We don't need them! Let's run away together and get married so that way they can't break us part!" Larry texted.
"Omg!! Brb going to steal my mom's wedding dress! Have your vows prepared :') <3" Mya texted back.
The young couple prepared for their last-minute wedding in a hurry but also in silence to not disturb their already fuming parents. Mya struggled to stuff her mother's poofy wedding dress into a suitcase but loads of duct tape made it work.
