The Khaotic Kids strolled into the auditorium for their theatre class as if they were on a red carpet. They waved to their imaginary fans and posed for nonexistent cameras. All the other students rolled their eyes.

"Please, no flash photography! We know we're the best actors, but give us some space," said Asor as he led his crew through the invisible crowd of fans. Their classmates groaned in response to their nonsense.

"Have a seat kids. I have an important announcement," said Ms. Canoe with a huge smile.

"Go ahead, the superstars are listening," said Aaron as he flipped his hair.

"Can you shut up?!" said Noremac annoyed with the crew pretending to be famous actors.

"Listen up buddy, take my fame and I'll take your life," said Aaron as he glared at Noremac.

"I'd like to see you try," said Noremac as he rolled up his sleeves.

"FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" chanted the class.

One girl held up a poster that read: "Round 1." While someone else rung a bell, signaling for the fight to begin.

"Settle down! Right now! I don't want to have to get the principal involved!" yelled Ms. Canoe, slightly irritated.

Everyone immediately calmed down. The principal was a scary woman who was not to be messed with. That didn't stop Noremac or Aaron from silently wishing the worst for each other.

"We are going to do a play. We'll perform it in front of the entire school and your parents," said Ms. Canoe while passing out scripts to each student.

"It's called Midget in the Mist. It's a terrible tragedy," said Ms. Canoe.

"Ms. Canoe, can Noremac be the midget since he clearly fits the part?" asked Mya with a small smirk forming on her lips.

"I will be choosing the parts for everyone, so I don't want to hear any of it! No complaining, no whining, got it?" said Ms. Canoe.

Aaron sunk into his chair with disappointment while Noremac stuck his tongue out at him when he wasn't looking.

"I will have the roles picked out for everyone and posted on the door, tomorrow. So for homework, I want everyone to read over their scripts." Ms. Canoe said.

Mya raised her hand. "Ms. Canoe, what's the play about?"

"Oh, well, it's about a midget in the middle ages who was secretly paid by the king to assassinate certain people and after he killed his victims, he escaped into the mist."

"Wow... That's very dark." Mya said.

The bell rang and Ms. Canoe dismissed everyone.

"Guys, I'm so nervous I mean what if we get like the worst roles out of the whole play?" Larry said as they were walking down the hall to their next classes.

"That won't happen," Aaron paused to pull on his shades. "For we are superstars!"

"Yeah! It would be a tragedy if we didn't get the best parts!" Mya agreed, flipping her hair to the side.

"Well, we'll see for ourselves tomorrow," Asor replied.

One day later...

The Khaotic Kids ran to the auditorium door with excitement, eager to discover what their roles were.

"I bet I got the lead role, I'm obviously the best actress here," said Mya.

"You wish! I'm the better actor," countered Asor.

"We'll see about that," said Larry.

They got to the door and pushed their way through the crowd of students that were also trying to find their role. They scanned through the list and were hit in the face with disappointment.
