Tuesday arrived, you have been discharged from the hospital and on the way to the cafeteria, you bumped into Blake and Yang. Your arm returned to normal and Blake stopped you.

"You still owe me answers on your arm." She said casually.

"Oh yeah. My semblance is the ability to harness darkness and light, using them for attack and defense. If I use dark attacks it slowly drains my sanity, turning me into a Grimm-Human hybrid over time, however, if I'm exposed to a bright enough light source then it drains my sanity less quickly or restores my sanity quicker. Aura also doesn't protect any Grimm parts so I have to be careful about when I use shadow attacks." You said casually.

"How can you be so casual about it though? It must happen quite frequently..." Blake asked cautiously.

"The first few times was scary before I understood my semblance, but the more I came to understand it the more normal it became." You said with the same casual tone.

"That makes sense..." Blake said cautiously.

"I told you it was his semblance." Yang said casually.

"I just had to hear it for myself." Blake replied nervously.

"Anyways, I'm heading to the cafeteria, want to join?" You asked light-heartedly.

"Sure." Blake said casually.

"I would, but I have to get some research done for Grimm studies. Thanks anyway." Yang said casually.

"Cool, feel free to stop by of you have time afterwards." You said with a friendly tone.

"I'll be sure to." Yang said casually.

You and Blake went down to the cafeteria and bumped into Pyrrha on the way. You invited her to join you and she accepted. When you got to the cafeteria, you explained your semblance to Pyrrha, whose expression lightened up upon hearing it isn't a cause for concern.

"So, I hear the dance is coming up in a few months." You said casually after a few moments of silence.

"Yeah, so?" Blake asked cautiously.

"I was wondering if anybody knows what the theme is." You said casually.

"It is going to be a formal dance. Why do you ask?" Pyrrha asked politely.

"I want to know what to wear so that I can hopefully impress a lady or two." You chuckled.

"I need to get to him before anybody else!" Blake thought to herself nervously.

"Hopefully I am the lucky lady." Pyrrha thought to herself.

"Say, Ozpin said that your Grimm arm is irreversible, so if it happened before, how were you normal upon entering Beacon? Sorry, I'm changing the topic." Blake asked you again.

"It is irreversible unless I absorb enough light through my active Semblance. Once I get enough of that, it will start to reverse the effects of the Grimm 'biology'. I still don't understand it fully and I am honestly scared every time I have to use dark powers. Sometimes I wonder where I got my semblance from." You said with a nervous chuckle.

"That is complicated, but, they say one's semblance is built through personality and life's challenges, so keep soldiering on. Wait, you don't know your parents?" Blake replied with a slight blush.

"I will be sure to do so. You catch on fast." You replied with a friendly smile, then your arm started burning and feeling heavy. "I need to absorb light quickly. This arm is a real pain in the ass." You added seriously.

Blake and Pyrrha helped you outside, as the burning arm, along with the weight of the arm are throwing you off balance. Just before reaching the light, you began to growl from pain, collapsing just outside of the direct light source. You drug yourself into the light and activated your semblance while the girls started to panic.
