The time has come for you to return to classes, and you are looking forward to the Sparring class. After your talk with Glynda at the shooting range, classes with her don't seem that bad anymore and, as luck would have it, Sparring class is the first class you have today.

"Hey, guys, who's ready for class?" You asked enthusiastically.

"How can you be so enthusiastic?" They asked sternly.

"Hey, this is my first official day with classes. Plus, as the strongest fighter in Vale, I need to set an example." You said casually.

"I guess you're right." He replied casually.

You and him went to Sparring, where you were told to introduce yourself despite your reputation.

"I'm Y/N L/N, the strongest fighter in Vale. I do have something to say about my semblance, which I need to say to prevent everyone from panicking. My semblance has two parts, a dark, and a light part. The dark part slowly drains my sanity and turns me into a Grimm limb by limb, while the light part doesn't negatively affect me. So don't be surprised if one day, I use my semblance and go partially insane, and turn half-Grimm." You said seriously.

The whole class could be heard talking about you, and mumbling about your semblance. You could see team RWBY, team JNPR, and some fourth-year teams in your class.

"Good, now, would you care to challenge anyone? You haven't been to class once since it began, even with a valid reason." Glynda asked sternly.

"I'd like to challenge all of team RWBY and team D_TH. Seven against me alone." You said confidently.

"Are you sure? That's a lot to challenge. As far as I know, that's the first time you've taken on so many at once." Glynda asked sternly.

"I like to push my luck a little bit now and then. After all, every fight won't always be one on one." You said casually.

"Do you accept the challenge?" Glynda asked sternly.

"We do." Team RWBY said confidently.

"We'll pass this time." Your team replied, not feeling up for the challenge today.

"Is there anybody else you'd like to challenge as an alternative?" She asked sternly.

"I'll challenge Ren and team RWBY." You said casually.

He accepted, and they got their gear ready, meeting you on stage. Glynda counted down and signalled the start of the match.

Cue song: Misery Loves Its Company - Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

Ren charged in first, with Ruby staying in the back to provide sniper support. Yang, Blake, and Weiss went around the sides in an attempt to flank you, who rolled over Ren's back and immediately dashed toward Ruby. She switched over to her scythe while you switched to one handgun, decreasing the overall length of your bat.
You backflipped over a sniper shot and shot Ruby in the stomach before spinning around and kicking Ren with your heel. You front flipped, landing behind Yang as Ren opened fire in a three-round burst. You used Yang as a human shield, letting her take the brunt of the force before you got thrown over her shoulder. You took a heavy stomp from Yang, then got shot in the chest by Ren, and frozen in place by Weiss upon standing up.

You managed to free yourself and use light armor to protect yourself, absorbing light from the corridors and the spotlights positioned above the arena. You cast dark armor on Ruby without even thinking, then you realized what you've done. You quickly disabled the armor as her aura shattered, signalling the end of the match for her. Ren managed to slash you, however, your light armor reflected some of the damage back at him, shattering his aura as well as knocking him back into Weiss, who tripped. Your light armor disappeared at this point and you can't use that ability now again. Blake attacked you next, using her shadow clones to distract you, who barely managed to track her. You reluctantly used your shadow armor and shadow attacks on top of your light attacks. You used light to blind all your attackers, while combining it with coating your sword in darkness, cutting through Blake's aura like butter, since it's not as strong as Pyrrha's.
