How Can I Tell You - Chapter XIV

Chapter XIV

- it is difficult for us to say anythng to each other, when we're of different minds -

Hyesun continue to stare at the two twits Daniel just posted, while she was on a break at PCAP filming. She took her phone and absentmindedly stared at it for a brief moment, wondering whether to call Daniel or not. And she remembers what happened just few days ago.....

She was in Australia filming PCAP. It was her birthday. She normally doesn't celebrate her birthday, there was even a time she totally forgot about it because of her busy schedule. But her family and friends would always surprise her. And this year's birthday was no different, in fact it was more special. She just finished a whole day of filming while in Australia and arrived in her hotel room and found herself being sorrounded by flowers. Roses in pink, white and yellow in dozens were everywhere. The hotel room's ceiling was filled with white baloons. But the one that catched her attention's most was the single long stemmed red rose placed at the center of her bed. Beside the rose was a small box. Hyesun excitedly picked up the box. She gasped.

Inside the box was an elegant diamond ring. It was the ring she saw in a magazine while hanging out with Daniel one lazy afternoon at Cafe Manolin...

'This is nice' Hyesun said while looking at the ring.

'What is it?' Daniel asked Hyesun without looking at her, he was reading Hyesun's book Tango.

'Nothing.....just a ring..' Hyesun replied.

Daniel suddenly lifted her head and looked amazed. 'A ring?' He asked again and took the magazine from Hyesun.

'May I see...hmmmm....its too small...' Daniel muttered.

'Yes! And it suits me perfectly! Simple and not too loud' Hyesun frowned and grabbed the magazine from Daniel. Daniel seemed amazed again with Hyesun's expression and smirked.

Hyesun took the card under the box and read it.

'I wanted to give this to you personally but I couldn't wait anymore. Its not that 'ring' yet because I would have given you what I preferred when that day comes. (And Im warning you that 'THAT DAY' will come for us Hyesun, and you will wear the most elegant ring I will give you). But for now, I want to give this to you, because this is what you like and everything that pleases you makes me happy. This ring will remind you of me everyday, that..

Hyesun gave a deep breath again and stared at the ring. It was incredibly beautiful but simple, just like how she remembers it. Hyesun wore the ring beaming. She noticed that each balloon has something written on it. She was re-reading the card again when Min An, her friend and personal assistant and her manager entered.

'WOW! What's all these?' Hyesun's manager asked in awe.

Hyesun noticed that Min An had a big grin in her face and realized that she helped Daniel with these things.

'Beautiful? Sexy? Intelligent? Thoughful?...and C-Crazy?' Hyesun's manager reads the note in each balloon.

'These are the things Daniel sees in Hyesun' Min An answered grinning.

'Sleepyhead?..Big Eyes? Sweet?'..Hyesun's manager continues to read each balloon.

'You could stay for the rest of the night to finish reading every ballon if you want but Im famished!' Min An said irritably.
