By the time four rolled around, she was ready to drop. And at five thirty, it would be time to go to the Kiszka household. She wouldn't be able to get any rest like she wanted to. She drove home rather quickly and ran inside.

"Hey, Dad." She smiled when she saw him sitting in the living room with the News on. She went to the fridge in the kitchen to grab something to snack on.

"Hi flower. How was your day?"

She shrugged, "Eh, it was alright. I'm super tired to be honest."

"Stayed up late with that new book of yours?"

She chuckled, kissing his cheek when she walked out of the kitchen, "You know me so well." Her mother walked down the stairs.

"Hey sweetie. Karen called and told me that her boys are back in town now. It's going to be nice to finally see them again." Delilah frowned but nodded, not that her nodded. "It's going to be fine. There shouldn't be too much of a big crowd."

"I'm gonna freshen up before we leave," On the way up to her room, she paused at her little brother's open door. "Hey, bubba. How was school?"

"It was fine."

"That's good." Arlo was focused on his legos. He had yet to find one that was hard for him. She rubbed his hair to make it stick up.

"Dee!" He complained and pushed her away. She ran before he could lash out. When she made it to her room, she looked at her vanity mirror. She would need to fix her makeup, but that was it. She was not going to change; she looked fine in what she was wearing. She fixed what she could and put her hair up in lazy ponytail. She sat in her bed, willing herself not to fall asleep. Thankfully, her mother called her down the stairs.

Five-thirty was quicker than she wanted, but it was better to get it over with. There were already two other cars there.

"I wonder who they are." Mom said excited. That was the difference between her and her mother. She was never excited to meet new people; but she knew who they were. Arlo and Delilah stayed behind their parents as they knocked on the door. Karen opened the door quickly, "Daisy! Marlon! Come in, come in." The family was pushed into the house, and then led to the backyard where dinner would be held. "We have a couple more months of good weather, so we should be outside."

Delilah agreed on the inside. She like the summers and falls here. They were her favorite seasons. Emery was the first to spot them. "Delilah, it's good to see you."
