It felt like forever waiting for Ronnie to come over. Thankfully Arlo was stuck with his legos to notice that she was anxious. Her leg bounced while she sat but then she had to stand to get it out. She walked back and forth; she felt like she was making holes in floor because of it.

Finally, she saw the headlights pull into the yard. She opened the door just in time to see Ronnie come in. "Dee, is everything alright?"

"No." She grabbed her arm nicely, and guided her to her room. They sat on the bed and Delilah started to explain the situation.

"She did what! That - that -" She stood up, her hands were in fists.

"Ronnie, please stop. Wouldn't you get jealous if your boyfriend was, I don't know -"

"Talking to another girl? No. Why, you may ask? Because I trust him. I know he loves me and he knows I love him. I don't need to mark my territory or anything else. That's part of being in a relationship, Dee. So, don't give me that crap. I don't need to hear it coming out of you." Ronnie was out of breath by the time she was done with her lecture to Delilah; whose eyes were large with surprise. Then all of a sudden, she started to laugh. "What's so funny?"

"Its- its just. That was unexpected." Delilah tried to breath but they were coming in gasps. "I mean, you just went off like a crazy person. And I can say that. I knew one." Ronnie joined in and they both laid on the bed, looking at the ceiling.

"But," Ronnie became serious. "I want you to talk to them about this. Especially after Jake running off without even listening to what happened. What if you had fallen and she caught you or something? He would accuse her."

Delilah huffed, "That's what I thought too. But I don't want to talk to Jocelyn." Her hand travelled to her arm. She'd have to hide it from her parents. They may not have seemed like hovering over her, but the moment she got hurt, they'd want to do something about it; like she couldn't protect herself or take care of it.

"Well, first, talk to Jake. Get that out of the way before you get to Jocelyn. That way, he can talk to her if he wants and then you don't have too. Jocelyn might come up to you and apologize for what she did."
