"Are you okay Y/N?" You heard from the doorway.

Peering up you saw Diana stood there, a concerned expression on her face. You tried your best to wipe your sleeves across your cheeks and eyes in an attempt to remove all of the tears that had clung to your skin. It was a little futile to fight the fact though, Diana very clearly saw you crying so wiping your tears away didn't really matter. Nevertheless, you tried your best to hide how sad you were and hoped that she wouldn't comment on it but seen as she was so caring and loving, you didn't have high hopes.

"I'm fine," you commented, trying not to sniffle but you couldn't fight it as you tried to get rid of how emotional you were.

Diana made her way over to you to sit down next to you, taking your hands in hers. She was a dear friend of yours although you had always hoped for more. You wished desperately that more could come from your relationship than just friendship but now life was harder than it should have been and that just got in the way of it.

"Please do not lie to me," she said giving your hands a gentle squeeze. "I wish to help you and I cannot do so if you lie to me."

You paused for a moment, trying to think of a lie but seeing Diana's concerned expression, you didn't have the heart. If anyone could always get the truth out of you, it was Diana, it was a blessing and a curse.

"Life just feels almost unbearable," you sighed. "It is such a dark world and somehow we are expected to make our way through and be happy. I can't even admit whom I love without fear of how the world will perceive it."

She cocked an eyebrow at you, uncertain as to what you meant.

"I do not know what you mean?" She asked, her expression almost falling sad. "You... you love someone?"

You nodded your head. "I love someone, but the world shall not permit it."

"How so?"

How were you going to word this without letting Diana know that she was the one whom you loved?

"Although I do like men, I am in love with a woman. A beautiful and strong woman whom I am friends with, but I fear she doesn't like me how I like her. That isn't my only concern though. The world is so rife with homophobia and biphobia, it is terribly hard to be a proud bisexual woman," you frowned.

She offered you a gentle smile, squeezing your hands once again.

"It can be hard but being bisexual certainly isn't something to be ashamed of. I know many people judge such a thing, but I do not see any issue with whomever someone loves. No matter someone's sexual orientation, as long as it's consensual, love shouldn't be dictated by anyone but those involved," she assured. "It can be hard to accept such a thing, but I have come to terms with it now, I do hope you can too."

A weak smile curled upon your lips. "I hope so too. I just hope that the woman I love, feels the same."

"I don't mean to be presumptuous but I do love you too," she smiled innocently.

Without saying anything more, a joyous smile curled upon your lips as you pushed forward to press a loving kiss to her lips.
