"You should really try not to be so sad all the time." Harley almost shot you from her sofa as she threw herself down beside you. "Look at me. I broke up with my boyfriend, had the best bounty hunters this side of the country after me, lost pretty much everything I had... okay I think you get the idea. Point is sometimes you just need to pick yourself up, make yourself feel better by blowing up a chemical plant and just kill a fuckton of people. Very therapeutic you know?". Somehow Harley's words of optimism had failed to lift your mood. You hadn't just broken from a serious relationship, come close to a gruesome death or had almost any reason to be sad, you just were.

"I don't really have time in my schedule for blowing up anything, and I haven't ever killed anybody. I think I'll just keep watching Tom and Jerry, I'll probably feel better soon."

"Wait what!?" She scrambled around the table, searching for the television remote. Once the table had been cleared of everything except her taxidermy beaver she dove behind the sofa cushions. "Where the fuck has it gone!" She pulled a small dagger from her thigh and threw it clean through convex screen. "Finally, some peace and fucking quiet."

"What did you do that for?" You asked in bewilderment as you made sure none of the thick shards had landed near you.

"I needed to have a very serious conversation with you, and I didn't want the noise from the television getting in the way of that."

"You could have stood up and turned it off?"

"Stop trying to change the subject... What do you mean you've never killed anybody?" You were led to believe that in a normal friend group it would be the act of murder that would be shocking, not the lack of it. "How have you made it so far in your life without killing anybody? Has nobody pissed you off?"

"They have, obviously, but you just deal with it calmly and without violence."

"What do you do if somebody cuts you up in the grocery store line? Surely you don't just sit there and take it? I mean that is what I used to do before the whole Joker thing, but I have seen the light and let me tell you, a quick shot to the forehead is so much more efficient. You know what, don't even answer. Free up your weekend, I have plans to make."
