While Hayley is in her bedroom awaiting Alison's arrival,her parents are downstairs making dinner(specifically her mother who is wearing her floral print apron)Her dad is sitting at the kitchen table reading the newspaper.Her younger brother Daniel is in the living room watching "The Fairly Oddparents".Henry reads the newspaper and sees a story that shocks and intrigues him.
"Honey look at this!"exclaimed Henry in shock
"Economist are claiming that a major worldwide economic recession is about to occur soon!".Rebecca is taking the turkey out of the oven.
"Isn't that a bunch of bullshit!"
"They say it's going to happen early this December"
"Well honey they are people who have knowledge on the economy and can tell when crisis will occur,it's not like they're going to correct and prove you wrong "said Rebecca sarcastically and mockingly making fun of her husband's ignorance.
"Hmm,next thing you're gonna tell me John McCain's not gonna win next year's election"responded Henry.Rebecca rolls her eyes.Daniel realizes that he's watching a rerun and channel surfs.After a couple of seconds of channel surfing and he lands on Comedy Central where an episode of "South Park" on.His mother Rebecca notices her son watching "South Park".Febecca rushes into living room.She grabs the remote from out of Daniel's hands.
"Daniel sweetie you shouldn't be watching shows like this"said Rebecca.She then smells a burning scent in the kitchen coning from the oven.She leaves Daniel to watch "South Park".Rebecca rushes back in the kitchen.The door bell rings Hayley comes downstairs and waltzes into the kitchen.Her mother is not pleased.
"Excuse me!"said Rebecca.Hayley halts.
"Aren't you gonna help your mother cook thanksgiving dinner?!"asked Rebecca annoyed.(Rebecca takes a pumpkin pie that is nearly burnt out of the oven)
"Mom,women don't just belong in the Kitchen"said Hayley sassily.Rebecca groans in extreme annoyance.The door bell rings once again.Hayley races to the front door and answers it.Alison is at the door.
"Oh,Alison your early!"said Hayley surprised and happyAlison has her backpack with her..They both quickly kiss before anyone can see.They both go upstairs to Hayley's room.Meanwhile in the kitchen Rebecca is still cooking thanksgiving dinner.
"Henry!,a little help here!"exclaimed Rebecca.
"Did you say something Hun?"asked Henry.Rebecca stares maliciously at him.
Hayley's Bedroom.
Alison is sitting on the bed.Rebecca and Henry are arguing loudly downstairs.Hayley shuts the door and sits down near her computer..Alison notices Hayley's room.She see's Green Day,Avril Lavigne,Panic!At The Disco,Paramore,Eminem,Gorillaz,Blink-182 and Coldplay posters and the room is painted purple with black stripes.Also Alison has an apple computer
"Wow,you seem very much into the alternative"said Alison.
"Don't you ever listen to Rihanna,Beyoncé,Justin Timberlake,Mariah Carey or Black Eyed Peas?"
"Pop's not my thing"replied Hayley.
"I just didn't find it appealing of interesting"
"II love them"said Alison
"And for youth information,pop music can have very serious messages behind them"said Alison
