Harry...

"Five extra? How exactly can one end up with five extra tickets?"

It was Louis who spoke first.

We all loved Coldplay, but it was obvious that the invitation all surprised us. Plus, talk about odd.

Kate was smiling widely – too widely. But when I turned to look at Alanna...

"We'll take it. Thanks."

Alanna's head snapped to mine quickly, I'm surprised she didn't damage a vein.

"Brilliant! Isn't it Alanna?" Kate asked, grinning as she eyed her best friend. The woman in question spared her a glance before looking back at us, mostly me.

"Yeah" she cleared her throat. "Yeah it is."

Oh but it's not. I smiled, cockily.

I could perfectly see through you sweetheart and the look on your face says anything but brilliant.

She looks like she's been slapped with a dead fish.

Who knew, the prim and proper miss Alanna Eivers was an entertaining sight when caught off guard?

Again she casted her witchy eyes on me, her jaw squared as if meant to intimidate. She probably wasn't used to being challenged, and as a gentleman I should acquiesce to her wishes.

But for some reason, riling up the always composed, detached woman stirred something in me.

...she shouldn't flirt with you when it suits her and drop you when she remembers her boyfriend...

"Just let us know the details Kate and how much we owe you." I declared, staring intently into grey.

....

"If looks could kill, seriously, we'd be holding your funeral now."

"What?" Unable to contain it, I snorted as I faced Lauren.

"What, you didn't notice? It seemed Alanna wanted to send you to your grave." Louis piped in as Jesse strolled by with a chuckle before plopping down on the couch. "I still couldn't believe how one could end up with five extra tickets."

Lauren rolled her eyes "Those obviously were meant for different people."

"I know." Jesse sighed exaggeratedly "What I mean is, it's quite a lame excuse isn't it?"

"It clearly wasn't thought through. But who cares? As long we got them tickets, it's on." Louis declared, grabbing the remote, ending the discussion for all.

I gave a little chuckle of my own and headed to the kitchen, grabbing myself a glass of water when a pair of footsteps echoed behind my back.

I turned, finding Lauren with a thoughtful gaze fixed on me.

"What?"

"You sure you wanna do this?"

"What?" I repeated.

Ever the voice of reason, she smiled and calmly explained. "You probably won't admit it but Dylan's story really did your head in."

I shrugged my shoulders dismissively, "Don't worry about it I'm just having fun."

The smile she sent my way said it all. She didn't believe me at all.

She had a reason not to.

"You know, I'm beginning to think if it was the right thing giving Alanna your number." She mused.
