The soft murmur of flowing water and the faint, gentle songs of a few birds gingerly caressed her hearing, sweetly luring her back to awareness.
Thin, delicate rays of natural light touched her skin and the back of her eyelids, her nostrils filling with the natural perfume of leather as she took in a deep and vigorous breath of fresh air, slowly stretching her limbs before finally daring to meet the world before her eyes.Timid and slow she opened her eyes, greeted by the dense greenery several feet above her head, safely shielding her body from the hot summer sun.
Fluttering her lashes for a few times to clear the persisting haziness around the edges, she then attempted to sit up, only to suddenly pick up the impossibly tiny and extremely high-pitched sound of a sneeze, coming from right next to her.Turning her head in the direction it came from, a startled squeal left her lips as soon as her eyes fell upon a creature about the size of her index finger, the said being curiously regarding her with those completely dark blue eyes as she clumsily scrambled farther away from it, feeling her heart beating so wildly against her chest whilst her hands held so tightly against the rough and heavy blanket she had picked up from the healthy and thick grass.
Wait...what?
Her wide gaze reluctantly lowered from the light blue-colored and half-butterfly half-humanoid shaped creature to the blanket clutched to her chest, only to notice the rough texture of leather and what appeared to be a large jacket.
Setting her naturally arched brows into a confused frown, she didn't even get to wonder about who it belonged to or how it got there as a darker shadow fell upon her like a rain cloud, an audible gasp escaping her lips as soon as her eyes rose to meet those swirling emerald ones.
"You!" She squeaked in fright as those last moments of awareness abruptly hit her like a furious torrent upon the sight of his face.
Yet despite the visible terror glinting in her large eyes and that subtle tremor her shrunken body gave away, his features remained stoic as he intently regarded her, quickly noticing the rather evident intent of fleeing.
"Do not make me chase you again," He firmly warned, throwing her a meaningful look before bending forward to set in her lap what appeared to be a silken handkerchief, skillfully knotted into a makeshift pouch.
Giving him an unhappy glower accompanied by a pout, her eyes lastly fell upon the object at hand, curiously inspecting it for a few moments before finally daring to pull against its edges and open it.
"Shoo! Didn't I tell you to go away you annoying little creature? Shoo!"
Disturbed by his aggravated shout, her attention momentarily averted to him, just in time to notice how his long finger flicked the poor little blue creature tumbling several steps away with a tiny scream before heavily seating himself on the grass as well, that previous action of his however making her feel very upset.
Even though the little being gave her quite a startle only moments ago, she couldn't help herself but feel some sort of simpathy towards it as it appeared so helpless and small, earning the peculiar male right next to her yet another scowl. What a brute!
She couldn't help but think as her eyes fell upon the handkerchief once again, staring at the odd-looking fruits nestled within.
Hmm...
Giving him another curious look, she pondered for a few short-lived moments before her empty stomach quickly decided for her, so with a slow and hesitant move she set the jacket aside and picked up the biggest-looking fruit, daring to take a small bite.
And within the following second an explosion of sweetness with a subtle tinge of sour reached her tastebuds, almost making her moan in delight, bite after bite, soon finding herself in front of an empty handkerchief and with traces of sticky juice all over her lips and fingers.
