~Melo's POV~

Jaden: "hey Melo! Good luck tonight" she said as me and Gelo walked toward the locker rooms

I didn't respond because I already knew I wasn't playing and that we weren't gonna win

Gelo: "Really bro you don't have to be a dick" he said with attitude

I gave 0 fucks about What Gelo was saying so I ignored him too

Gelo: "just because your girl isn't here doesn't mean you gotta be disrespectful to mine" he continued to complain

I still wasn't listening because my mind was with Mel

All I could think about was her

I've never been away from her for this long let alone THIS far away from home

I looked around and just imagined what would be happening if Mel were here right now

I saw a man with a bald head and all I could hear was Mel's voice talking about how shiny that shit was which caused me to laugh

Gelo: "are you even fuckin listening to me bro?!" He semi yelled snapping me out of my thoughts

"What bro?" I asked with attitude

This nigga was making me irritated

Gelo: "I said it's game time bitch"

I rolled my eyes and followed him out of the locker room then took my place on the bench where I'd be for almost the entire game

Just as I had said before I was benched until the last 10 minutes of the game and of course we lost so I wasnt happy whatsoever and neither was my dad

He did talk to coach but I don't think it's gonna help

Once we got back to the hotel I took a shower, changed my clothes and called mel

I know it was late where she was but I needed to vent

|FACETIME CALL|

Ivy: "oh heyyyy lamelo" She said as she answered the call

"Um where's Mel?"

Ivy: "she's uh...busy"

What could she possibly be busy doin in the middle of the night?

Mel: "Who you talkin to? Give me my damn phone!" She said as she snatched the phone from ivy

"Hey" I said with a small smile

Mel: "Hey Dip! What's up?"

"If you're busy I'll call back tomo-"

Mel: "don't listen to Ivy's dumb ass. I was peeing but I'm done now" she laughed

"We need to talk"

Ivy: "oop girl lemme leave; I'll be downstairs with Gabe and Lucas"

Once I heard the door close I started talking again

"She gone?"

Mel nodded

"good"

Mel: "What do we need to talk about?"

"Oh nothing! I just wanted her to leave" I said causing her to laugh

Mel: "you're so silly dude but How was your game?"

"I was benched until the last 10 minutes as usual"

Mel: "damn did y'all win at least?"

"Nope and Dad talked to coach but I guarantee you he'll bench me again"
