There was a bruise on my wrist, and my knee stung. This was the first time I had felt pain that was actually my own in so long I wasn't sure what to do about it. I wonder what my soulmate was thinking. The last time I had gotten hurt was before the soulmate connection had fully established itself, so there was no telling what was going through his head.

I sighed and got dressed for another day at work. The bruises that my soulmate had earned were gone by now, all except the dragon that curled it's way up my spine.

Today Donghyuck would be working a full shift with me, which seemed a bit much because we were always a bit slower on the weekends. Not as many people needed their morning coffee when they could just sleep an extra three hours instead. Even so, I was glad for the company. I was still shaken from the happenings of the night before and he had a steady sort of energy that kept me calm.

"Some of my friends will probably be hanging around here today," he explained, "we have some stuff we have to plan."

"That's alright," I gave him a sunny smile, "We're not busy. Take your time with them."

It was the truth. We had seen maybe three customers in the past hour. I was turned away from the door playing on my phone when the bell chimed and I heard multiple voices mingled together and speaking over one another.

"Hey guys!" I heard Donghyuck shout, and I turned to see the group that he was talking with.

My world seemed to stop when I spotted him. He was wearing a simple black t-shirt tucked into some light wash jeans but, damn, he was hot. His back was to me, but he didn't have to be facing me for me to know.

There was a faint bruise around his wrist, and rising just above the collar of the shirt was the top of what I very well knew was a much larger tattoo.

My breath caught in the back of my throat, and I had to put my hands on the counter to stabilize myself. That move backfired but also told me all I needed to know, because my left hand knocked over a scalding hot cup of coffee all over my arm; we both yelped at the same time.

Almost immediately I had Hyuck hovering over me and tending to my hand, but I couldn't concentrate on that. I locked eyes with the tall man with dark hair and everything seemed to click into place. Everything except the confusion and slight disgust on his face.

"So, Johnny, how is everything with the girlfriend?" Bunny man asked, and then even the look made sense.

I felt cheated. I was born into the world and given a person that was supposed to be it for me. I was supposed to find him and have a happy life, but he's ruined that. I was angry, and my anger made me remember what I had promised myself to do when I met my soulmate.

I marched straight up to the giant man, pulled him into me, and rocketed my knee up towards his crotch just as forcefully as I possibly could.

Furiously wiping tears away, I turned and stormed out of the door of the coffee shop.

Behind me I heard a faint "oh shit" from Hyuck and a "holy fuck they have the same tattoo" from Mark.
