                                              I have a promise,
 You'll always be there.
 I have a promise,
 You'll help me to bear
 my troubles, my sorrows,
 my life overall.
 I have a promise,
 You won't let me fall.
                          I have a promise,
 life will be hard.
 I have a promise,
 I have a guard,
 a guard for my heart,
 my soul and my mind.
 I have a promise,
 You won't leave me behind.
                          I have a promise,
 there will be strife.
 I have a promise,
 You give eternal life,
 life everlasting,
 life with no end.
 I have a promise,
 You'll always be my friend.
