Lincoln let out a deep breath and walked up to Katrine's desk. "I have an important question to ask you, and I'd rather you not read my mind."
Katrine raised an eyebrow. "That makes me want to do it, but I won't. What's your important question?"
"Would you like to go out with me?"
"As in out-out or just out for dinner."
Lincoln smiled at Katrine's confusion. "Out-out."
"I would love to go out-out with you, Lincoln."
Patch smirked from the filing cabinet where she'd been putting files away. "It's about time, you two."
Katrine blushed a shade of red. "Gee, thanks."
Lincoln then said quietly, "Might I kiss you, Deputy Hargreeves?"
She nodded. Lincoln pressed his lips to Katrine's and the two of them felt fireworks.
Katrine pulled away. "Whoa. That was--that was something."
Patch laughed. "Nice choice of words, Kat."
She glared at her friend and kissed Lincoln again. "I'm glad I can do this."
"Me too." Lincoln answered softly.
