Lihyun
"Wait for me you inconsiderate brat!"
I ran after Taehyun as he rushed pass the other passengers, miraculously avoiding each and every one of them in this busy airport.
I apologized to the people around us as I pushed some of them away. At this rate, we might as well be arrested by the guards. But by the looks of it, they're too busy looking out for potential bombers than some loud, overgrown toddlers.
"Big sis' hurry!" Taehyun shouted over his shoulder, all the while skimming through the crowd.
How does he do that?
Though I'm also fortunate enough not to bump into anyone, he seems to make it look so easy. If it weren't for his normally colored eyes, he would appear hybrid to everyone else. But even so, some hybrids aren't as agile as him. And not to brag but, I'm pretty agile myself. But now I get to test how as I run through a throng of people with a luggage in hand and a backpack behind me to hold me back.
When a kid somehow got in front of me, my reflexes immediately kicked in and I swung my luggage up, narrowly avoiding the child as I slid past him. And when the luggage met the ground once more, relief washed over me and I looked back to the child who stared at me in awe.
I blushed from the obvious admiration and looked back ahead, trying to ignore the stares the two of us are getting.
And soon, I finally caught up to Taehyun, tapping his strap covered shoulder to get his attention. "Why are you in such a hurry anyway? It's not like we have another flight. We're already here!"
I took in and released big gulps of air to even my talking as I ran alongside him. He, on the other hand, didn't even make an effort to take care of himself as he ran and ran without thinking.
"Noona said that if we don't get there within ten minutes, she won't make me her famous sushi anymore. So we gotta hurry! By now I think we only have a minute left 'til 11:10!" He leaped over a backpack that skid across the ground when it fell from the hands of a passenger.
I tried to kick it back to their direction as gently as I could, hoping that there isn't anything fragile in it before sprinting once again. I huffed and caught up to him before tugging at his shirt, pulling him to a stop.
"Noona!" Before he can make another head start, I held him firmly by the shoulders, refusing to let him leave.
"Listen. I know myself that Yumi doesn't say empty threats, and what she says is always true. But you're putting yourself in danger and the people around you right now with what you're doing, understand? Your sushi obsession can wait. I'll just talk to her about it." I let him go as he pondered about it, which didn't take as long.
He nodded and defeatedly sighed. "I understand...I'm sorry sis'."
He rubbed his nape nervously before taking cautious steps forward, finally slowing down for his sake and everyone else's. I sighed and smiled to myself, kind of amused to see him so defeated. I'd like to think of myself as the responsible and reliable one between the two of us. Taehyun is more of the breath of fresh air and innocence.
