Yoongi
A heavy hand fell on the young man's shoulder as he was making his way up the oblique, almost artistic in a way, flight of stairs. He jumped in his skin and almost fell back and into his doom, before the same hand stopped him from behind.
"Whoa, easy there Mr. Director. We wouldn't want you dead to leave this company perishing now do we?" The voice behind him chuckled in his usually deep pitch as he struggled to keep Yoongi upright.
Meanwhile, the older man turned to glare at the younger when he was finally standing on his two feet steadily. "It was your fault."
Yoongi isn't in his best mood today, and judging by the way the younger man raised an intrigued eyebrow he knows that too.
"Taehyung, if you don't have anything to do, why don't you go bother someone else, like your dog or something." Yoongi straightened his dress shirt and fixed his dark hair, running a hand through the dark locks begrudgingly.
Meanwhile, Taehyung gave him a deadpan look with his arms crossed over his somehow wider chest. Yoongi kept his eyes focused on the younger's arms as he tried to come up with a somehow manageable excuse to leave. Little did he know that he was already taking too long.
"Hyung, if you wanted to stare then you could've just told me. I'll gladly go to a room to show you my new workout routine." Taehyung's smug smirk got Yoongi out of his trance and brought back his anger.
The older grumbled in reply and abandoned his excuse mission and just ignored Taehyung overall. The younger was shocked and stood in the same spot before he started catching up to Yoongi who is already in his desired storey.
"Elevators exist for a reason." Taehyung quietly said next to the man who is now in a hurry
Yoongi was supposed to meet with his father, but he got sidetracked to say the least. "I'm trying to lose weight too..." he replied with hesitancy, not exactly sure what else to say.
"Hyung, you're a terrible liar. How do you keel forgetting how the new era works?" Yoongi's pride got stabbed right then and there, and it took all of him not to run away from the conversation as fast as possible.
Instead, he adjusted the tie around his neck and kept his glare straight ahead. "Like I said, I'm losing weight."
And before Taehyung could come up with another witty comeback, Yoongi entered through two large mahogany doors, studded with gold, as if the two bulky hybrids guarding them weren't enough to emphasize the power behind those doors.
He had to hold back a sigh when he greeted his father's male secretary who kept a malicious glare towards him. After all, he wanted the director position for himself. But jokes on him, Yoongi's father prefers a monarchy than a democracy. Which, now that Yoongi thought about it, doesn't sound that good at all.
