Lihyun

Hip hop music blasted through the SUV's speakers as Jimin drove on the freeway. After playing rock-paper-scissors, it has been decided that Taehyun's in-charge of the music and of course he just had to share his favorite songs to us.

And as rap music played with my little brother nodding along to the beats next to Jimin who's desperately trying not to get too distracted, Yumi and I caught up. Right after the little misunderstanding we had before...

She mentioned all sorts of things: from the biggest changes like what happened after her mother re-married; to the new conditioner brand she uses to keep both her hair and fur shiny. Meanwhile, I mostly talked about work and the hassle about moving. We eventually got to the topic of me moving in.

"So when does your stuff arrive?"

I hummed in thought and started playing with the buttons on my shirtㅡ a habit I had since I was young. "I was told that they should come later in the day. We booked a delivery that leaves right after Taehyun and I do for convenience so they should arrive soon."

Yumi nodded and looked back ahead, occasionally glancing at Jimin to check up on him. I found the concern strange and immediately got intrigued. So I tapped Yumi's shoulder who took longer to react than she should've initially reacted.

"What's up? Why do you keep checking up on him?"

She seemed to be confused at first before her eyes lit up in understanding and smiled, almost shy in a way. I raised an eyebrow and found the situation interesting. Before I could further analyze her though, she leaned in to whisper in my ear.

"You see, Jimin is very sensitive." Her voice tickled me a bit, but that didn't distract me from finding the oddity of the sentence.

"What do you mean?" I whispered back, careful about the boys in front of us.

She pursed her lips first before leaning back in. "You know how our ears and tail only really pop out whenever we feel extreme emotions? Well, Jimin has the tendency to get a bit extreme with his, and I'm just worried that he might get randomly flustered and his ears and tail suddenly pop out."

My eyes widened and I looked back and fort between Yumi and Jimin in shock. I am well-versed with how the feline hybrids work and their culture thanks to Yumi, as she is a hybrid after all. And I've also heard about the rare cases of hybrids being sensitive.

Unlike humans, feline hybrids are rarely sensitive with their emotions and are usually well-grounded and calm. Sure, there are cases that they can be loud and active, but they don't often feel extreme emotions unless something drastic happens. So hearing that Jimin is one of the rare sensitive types made me shocked.

"Really? Wow, that's...actually pretty cool." My eyes wandered down in thought as a small smile formed on my lips.

Yumi reflected the smile and sighed as she quietly whispered, "Yeah, he's pretty cool. Ever since I met him, he became the little brother I never had, only relatively smaller."
