Chapter: 10

Rikka's POV

"He can't have gone too far" Alice said, "I mean, he only left last night right?"

"Somewhere around that..." I replied

Makoto squeezed my hand tight

"Don't worry Rikka"

"Thank you Makoto-san.. everyone, thank you all so much!"

"What's important now is that we find that knucklehead!" Regina said, "Jeez.. I can't believe him! Running away like that!"

"He must've had a good reason to run away" Alice said, "after all, he was acting strangely..."

I couldn't agree more, he was acting strange, hurting himself... why was he so upset? I couldn't find any reason why he would be... he was completely fine before!

"Regina... you've known Ira for a while..." Mana said

"Yeah?" She replied

"Do you have any idea why he's acting like this?"

Regina thought for a moment.

"I'm not so sure... Ira never acts like this.. he's always keeping his feelings to himself so I've never seen him act up before. He's always just so... normal, you know what I mean?"

"Just what I thought.." I said

"Rikka, has he ever talked to you about this?" Aguri

"I tried to ask him what's wrong but all he's saying is that something is his fault. He won't tell me"

"I had a feeling he would do that" Regina said

"What are we going to do?"

"Well first things first, we gotta find him! And try and find a solution to this" Mana said with determination

"But we don't even know where to start"

We all sat in silence.

Hmm... a place where Ira would go just to be by himself...

There are so many places! The park, the city. Maybe an open field? The beach?

Wait...

The beach..

Ira's POV

I began to start walking once more. Although just my luck.. it began to rain.

It really was coming down hard, so I found some sort of decrepit building and hid under it.

I sat down on a wooden crate and looked at the bandaged scars from before..

Come to think of it... this situation sorta feels like déjà vu...

"I see... good for you!"

"Huh? Well you're pretty strange, I'm surprised to see you happy about this.."

"Of course I am, why wouldn't I be? It's the perfect outcome...

...the patient made a full recovery"

That's right... it was raining back then too...
I thought

Even now I wonder... why was she so happy..?

Even then.. when we were still together... I wondered...

"So, you've been here.. this whole time"

I flinched as I recognized the familiar voice.

"What's it to you? Why do you care"

"Care? Hmm... you're pretty good at that, aren't you?"

"What do you mean..?"

"I mean that you just left her, for such a selfish reason"

"I'm surprised to see you taking, I mean that's what we're all about, right?"

"Just when I thought that you could truly be happy for once.."

"Happy..?"

"You really need to loosen up.."

At that moment, the voice revealed itself, as just as I thought

"It sure has been a while..
