Savannah's P.O.V
I walk out of my last class of the day and head towards my locker where Ellie was waiting for me
"What did you say to Blaze yesterday? He came to my house grinning ear to ear." A smile was making an appearance on my face as well, he was smiling because I told him that I love him and that I never stopped.
"Nothing, I just said that we should put our differences aside for you and have a fresh start. I don't know why he was smiling, maybe the girl is back."
She looked at me confused "The girl from two years ago?"
I smiled at her "Maybe, maybe not. That you have to ask him not me."
She pulled out her phone and started texting him, but I noticed he was walking sad-looking around the corner towards us. He charged at us, grabbed me by the hair and pulled me into a closet. Ellie simply yelled behind us that she would wait in the car, not bothering to accompany us even though she knew she wouldn't prevail against him. "Blaze! What are you doing?"
"You need to stay away from me Savannah." His fingers were digging into my arms creating fresh bruises over top of the ones I had gotten a couple of days ago from my dad.
"Blaze we went over this yesterday, you are not pushing me away anymore. I won't let that happen not after finally finding out why you left me a year ago. All the questions are gone from my mind because everything adds up."
Blaze clenched his jaw "I am serious Savannah, it doesn't matter anymore. We shouldn't matter to you anymore because nothing can happen. Gio is catching on that I am getting distracted by you and he won't be so laid back about it this time. This time he might do something to hurt you as a warning to me and I won't... Can't let that happen."
I smirk "I'm distracting you?"
"Is that all you got from everything I just said."
"You know you being this protective of me is pretty hot" I whisper in his ear leaning in a bit leaving a kiss behind his ear "Actually its really sexy."
He groans leaning away from me "Why aren't you scared?"
Yanking him back against me and startling him in the process I say "I am not scared because I don't care what's in front of me ready to hurt myself because I know there's someone behind me ready to protect me under any circumstances."
"Where is this sudden trust in me coming from? Is it just because now you know that I was protecting you? Or is it because Ellie told you?"
I raised an eyebrow at him "It isn't sudden trust Blaze, do you think love comes without trust? Trust is what holds love together. Did you buy all the bullshit I was selling you?"
He yanked himself away from me back up against the wall opposite to mine "I saw the hate in your eyes Savy, you can't say that you didn't stop trusting me because you did."
"That wasn't hate that was anger, that was fear that you were going to leave after you came back."
"Savy, you have to understand what I'm trying to say, the only reason why I'm back is because of my career. The farther away I am from you the better for you."
"What are you hiding?"
"You already know everything, Ellie-"
"What Ellie told me is only half the truth, tell me what you are hiding from me."
He frantically started to look around anywhere but me "I-I don't know what you are talking about, what Ellie told you was all of it."
"Then why are you not happy that I know everything now? Why aren't you happy seeing the 'hate' replaced by love again, the 'distrust' replaced by trust again and why aren't you looking at me when you are talking?"
