Chapter 9

Blake p.o.v.

She fell asleep and it made me worried. I started to shake her to wake up but she didn't respond. Moving her to the coffee table I looked over the rest of her body. I wanted to make sure her wounds didn't open up again.

Dr. Jane ran into the house up to Rose. Luckily she was in the area visiting some of her relatives when dad called her. "What happened?!"

"Fred found her and raped her brutally. She went into shock and now she isn't waking up." I said trying not to panic standing next to Dr. Jane.

"Okay all of you outside. Let me do my work and I will come get you when I am done. I will make a full report about this when I get back to the hospital." She said sternly as we all went outside getting out of the way. Leaving her in the cabin alone to look after Rose.

Hours later Dr. Jane came outside sighing. "Okay so I had to stitch up her lip. She has about five stitches. They need to be cleaned every five hours to not get infected. Yes she was raped brutally. There has been severe damage done. I have some medicine that should help. But no dirty water and try to minimize her walking. She has two broken ribs as well but luckily they didn't do any harm. For her body being in shock it will take her time to recover. Let her sleep and make her comfortable. That's about all I can do for her now. I will be making a full report at my office." She says as she shakes mom and Jason hand before leaving.

Jason p.o.v.

Walking back inside I head to Rose and gently pick her up carrying her to the room she is staying in. I cant believe I wasn't there to protect her. I promised I would be there and now I failed her. I hope she forgives me.

"It's okay baby. Dad is here." I say kissing her head as she groans in her sleep.

Laying her gently on the bed and pulling the blankets up to cover her up. Grabbing her stuffed animal and I wrap her arm around it. Making sure she is asleep and okay I give her one last look. Closing her door softly so I didn't wake her up, I head back downstairs to the others. Julie was crying as I went over to her and hugged her tightly. I could only imagine what everyone was feeling right now.

"So are you guys a thing now or something?" Mark asked as I looked at Julie and she nodded her head at me.

"Yes." Julie stepped in and went to our room closing the door behind her.

"That is something for another day. What happened and why was she alone?" I sighed rubbing my forehead, disappointed in them for leaving her alone.

"She wanted to stay there alone to think some stuff through. We thought it was safe and we weren't thinking. So we went ahead and headed back here. Its my fault for leaving." Jack says as tears fall from his eyes.

"She isn't okay. We were talking at the waterfall today. She said she feels like a burden on us all and that it would be best if she wasn't around. That we would be happy without her. She is scared that they are coming back for her. She even said she is scared to sleep alone." Steven says sitting in one of the kitchen chairs with his head down.

Nodding my head as I head back upstairs into our room. Sitting on the bed as Julie comes and sits on my lap. I just wanted to hold her and Rose. Protecting them both from the dangers of the world.

"It's going to be okay." I say to her holding her tightly to my chest.

"No it wont. Rose is breaking. My poor baby girl. I want her safe. She has been through enough." She says crying into my chest quietly as I hug her tighter.

"Hey look at me." I sit her on the bed and kneel in front of her making her look at me.

"I will die for that baby girl in there. I am here now and so our my boys. We made a stupid mistake okay. But that is never going to happen again." I kiss her lips softly.
