Chapter 10

Steven p.o.v.

Sitting next to Rose we watch as everyone else packs up to head to the waterfall. We plan on having a campfire there. So later some of us need to grab firewood. What Rose doesnt know is that we plan on tonight being a party for her return.

"Hey you feeling better?" I ask her as she lays on my lap.

"Yes just dizzy." She says in an irritated tone closing her eyes.

"I'll carry you sis. Dont worry." I rub her hair softly as she pushes my hand away.

"Thank you bubby." She leans up kissing my check before moving away from me.

She keeps her eyes closed as I watch everyone gathering the last things we needed for the day. I wonder why she was in such a bad move today. Maybe I will talk to her later about it.

It was about an hour later everything was finally packed up. Rose fell asleep on my lap. She looks so peaceful when she sleeps. So far she hasnt had a nightmare. Hopefully it stays that way for her.

Picking her up she lays her head on my shoulders as her arms are wrapped around my neck. All the guys make a formation around Julie, Rose, Nick, and I.

Coming to the waterfall Julie and dad make a bed for Rose using some of the blankets. Setting her down I lay with her holding her tightly. She begins to cry in her sleep loudly.

"Shhh baby your safe. I got you." I say softly rubbing her back as she calms down.

The rest of the guys and Julie start setting up for the party for her. They try to be as quiet as possible. Nick is already playing in the water. I look over and watch him making sure he doesnt go to far.

"What are you smiling about?" I hear a tiny quiet voice say.

"Just watching Nick play." I look down saying to Rose.

She sits up rubbing her head. she keeps groaning softly as I watch her. "Headache still?" I ask concerned looking at her.

"Yes but it's better than earlier. Can I just stick my feet in please?" She asks me staring back into my eyes.

"Only your feet okay." I give her a look and she giggles.

Helping her up we walk to the water as she holds onto my arm and sticks her feet in. She smile and squeals as the water hits her skin.

"It's cold." She smiles wiggling her toes in the water.

"Come on thats enough water for you. Let's go sit in the shade." I smile and help her to the blanket under the tree.

Rose p.o.v.

The water felt so good on my feet even though it was cold. I look around at all the guys and how lucky I am to have them. Even though I feel like they don't need me around. Watching mom and Jason I had a feeling that there was something going on with them.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Steven asked playing with the grass.

"Whats going on with my mom and your dad?" I asked picking a small flower and putting it in his hair behind his ear.

"They are a thing now I guess. He told us last night." Steven smiles grabbing a flower as well and putting it in my hair.

"Beautiful." Steven says smiling at me.

I don't know why but I feel connected to him. Not in a relationship kind of way but as a brother. Hopefully I can have a bond with him and the rest of the guys.

"So you wont be going anywhere any time soon?" I looked down sad.

"Hey we arent going anywhere for along time Rose. You are our sister now." He says lifting up my chin making me look at his eyes.
