Castle: The journey of love

The morning after

Beckett was the first one waking up the next morning.. Her eyes were heavy but as soon as she managed to open them completely, she noticed they had fallen asleep on the beach.

Kate couldn't see that well because it was still dark, but she knew exactly how they were positioned by feeling Castle's hands on her back, her nose touching his neck and her hands on his chest. They had such a small space between Castle's stomach and Beckett's baby bump and their legs were making a perfect shell form.

After having a minute to appreciate that view of them sleeping like that, Beckett decided that it was better for them to get inside, since it was freezing outside, so she woke castle up:

"Castle!" she whisperered  

"Hum...?!" was all she got from him, he didn't even opened his mouth.

"Castle!!" She now screamed making him jump and looking around with an confused expression.

Castle looked at themselves, then down to Beckett's face on his chest , she blinked her eyes twice, then both remembered everything they've been through over the past four months, they broke the position they were in, both blushed and then there was an awkward silence between the two of them, once again, they let the sound of the ocean dominate that moment.

"So, what time is it?" Castle asked not looking at her. 

"I don't know, you're the one with the watch" she answered still feeling it awkward

"Right" he sighed and looked at his watch "ten minutes till five" he finally said

Beckett looked at Castle and saw him freezing, she then remembered she was wearing his robe, so she took it off and handed it to him.

"Keep it" He said

"Castle, I dont want you to be sick, you're freezing" she protested

"Then lets go inside" he stated

He stood up and placed the robe on kate's back, just then raised his hand and looked to Beckett. She placed her hand on his for him to help herstand up, but before he pulled her, she said:

"Castle look" and he looked in the same direction as her seeing the sun raising.

Castle sat back next to her ready to see the beggining of a new day. As Castle sat next to Beckett, she placed half of the robe on his back, and the other half on her.

"It's beautiful" She said. Castle got closer and placed a hand on her opposite shoulder, and very naturally, Beckett placed her head on his also left shoulder, like this they watched the sun raising.

"We should really get inside" Castle repeated.

"Let's go then" She agreed with a smile 

As they started walking, Castle noticed beckett was having a hard time walking on the sand, probably because she was heavier then usual:

"Need help?" He asked, but the answered he got was tipicalfrom the kate Beckett we all know.

"Nope, I can handle it"

"Ok then" he said raising his eyebrows looking at her almost falling.

"Come here" he said not wanting to watch her like that anymore. He walked next to her and picked her bridal style

"Seriously?!" She asked laughing in his arms

"Seriously" He answered looking through her eyes with that look that drives her crazy, his deep blue eyes crossing with her lovely wild look. As Castle reached the solid ground next to the back door, he placed her back on the ground making her stand right next to him. Becket got closer, so did he, sh was the one taking the first step, they got closer and closer till their mouths were almost touching, suddendly they changed their miinds:

"We can't" They said at the same time

And there was the awkawrd situation again. 

(Why can we see when someone is in love with someone else but you cant see if someone is in love with you? Why do people deny love? or can't they really see that they're in love?)

"I'm gonna cook breakfast" Castle broke the silence

"Let me help you" she offered herself

They entered the kitchen and started cooking, after a while they had loads of food on the table ready to be eat, they sat on the table and started eating, everything still awkward but hopefully, everything would come back to normal, just like it always does when this happens to them, no matter how far from each other they feel, they're ALWAYS in each others hearts no matter what the circuntances are.
