Chapter 24- Preview to Doomsday

Namjoon Pov

It's officially been 6 days since I bit (Y/n), but there is no sign that he is gaining his animal counterpart. I don't see a noticeable change in his cravings, and he hasn't even grown a centimeter. By now he should have grown about 5 inches!

If anything I feel like our baby's getting more anxious as time progresses. At least twice a night (Y/n) will have a nightmare and it takes me an hour to finally calm him down enough for him to sleep. He's been losing a lot of sleep because of it, and he's scared to sleep now. He still hasn't told me what the nightmare is...

I've been introducing him to naps in the afternoon to try and make up for lost sleep, and thankfully it works. For some reason he doesn't have a nightmare when he takes a nap. Maybe it's because he doesn't sleep long enough during the hour and a half naptime to actually develop a nightmare. (Does that make sense idk)

I'd be horribly lying if I said I'm wasn't scared for him. He should be developing his animal form but I see no sign of that happening. As a result I've been way more possessive over him that I expected. It's gotten to the point where I would growl at any of my other mates when they were just trying to bring us food. After they leave I feel really guilty and will immediately apologize via mindlink.

Right now, I have (Y/n) in my lap as I play with/ brush his hair(which is partly me trying to see if his ears are growing in). Surprisingly, they're are knots beginning to form on his head, a sign his ears are beginning to grow it. I would check for a tail too....but obviously (Y/n) wouldn't like that....

I gently ran my thumb over the knot to try and estimate when his ears would come in and roughly the size of his ears. (Larger ears are prone to be more sensitive when growing in and they will be more sensitive when they're close to sprouting)

Despite barely brushing my thumb against it, (Y/n) let out a yelp and tried to cover the knots with his hands, ending up touching the knots, and accidentally hurting himself more. I started to panic as I saw the soon to be hybrid tear up. I turned him around so he was sitting sideways on my lap and his face was pressed into my shoulder.

"My little muse I'm so so sorry. Daddy didn't mean to hurt you! I was just trying to see how your new ears were doing. Please forgive me I'm so sorry!" I pleaded, feeling horrible for hurting my little one.

"It-its otay da-dad-daddy. You-you didn't mean t-too" he hicuped, hugging me as he tried to receive any type of comfort.

The fact that his ears were that sensitive worried me. I asked Yoongi about through mindlink, and he said Jimin's ears weren't that sensitive even 5 minutes before they grew in.

I managed to comfort (Y/n) as his cries quieted down to sniffles, then all that could be heard was quiet snores as he finally settled down for a nap.

His ears must be really large for them to be so sensitive, either that or they're going to start growing in any second.

A random shiver went down my spine as a wave of anxiety washed over me. I had a feeling something's wasn't right, a feeling that told me (Y/n) wasn't safe....

Travis Pov

"I need a favor" the man spoke as he pocketed the picture.

When he didn't get a response from me, he looked at my baby girl, then back to me.

"Now Travis, you're a smart boy and I'm sure you'll make the right choice, especially since you and your baby's life is on the line."

I was afraid to say anything. One wrong move and I could screw up this chance to save me and Lucy.

I glanced over at her, and saw her pleading with her eyes to take the deal.

I looked back to the (surprisingly) handsome man and hesitantly nodded, telling him I accept the deal.

The man smirked and crossed his arms.

"Now, Travis, I heard you had connections with Miss Barem's cosplay karaoke bar correct?"

I nodded, not trusting myself to speak. I had a job there before, since Miss Barem only hires humans trying to pass off as hybrids. She's a nice woman really.

"Good. You see, (Y/n) is going to a job interview there in about a week. I need you to expose (Y/n) as a turned. As you know, turning someone is illegal, so when you expose him, everyone at the bar is detained, (Y/n)'s 'mates' are arrested, and everyone loves happily ever after, yes?"

Why is he doing this? He has evidence that Miss Barem's bar is illegal. He has evidence (Y/n)'s mates illegally turned him. Why is he making me his little pawn?

I decided to try my chances. "What's the catch?"

The man feigned surprise. "There is no catch. Travis, I know how you wish to have (Y/n) and Lucy as your littles. Ill make another deal with you. If you successfully execute my little favor, me and you can be caregivers for the two, doesn't that sound nice?" The wolf bent down and took my chin between his thumb and forefinger

Shit! How does he know that I had a crush on (y/n)? I can't help but imagine what it would be like to have this handsome stranger help me take care of and protect Lucy and (Y/n).

No! Travis, you can't do this. Miss Barem doesn't deserve this. (Y/n) and his mates doesn't deserve this. I can't let all these people be hurt because of my selfish desires.

I don't think I have a choice here... at least when me and Lucy are killed, we'll die together. We won't have to suffer on the earth without each other.

Defiantly, I shook my head and whispered "no".

The stranger didn't like this. "What did you say?" He growled

"I said no. I'm not ratting them out. I'm not ratting out all those innocent people!" I screamed at him

I heard the wolf snap his fingers and there was a sharp prick on my neck. I heard a strangled scream from Lucy. My gaze darted to her as I watched her guard stab a needle in her neck too.

My head began to feel fuzzy and I felt like I had no control over my mind and body.

"Let's try this again, yes. How would you like to have me, (Y/n), and Lucy all to yourself, hmm? Will you accept my deal?"

I felt myself giggle without my consent. The next words out of my mouth I would regret forever, "of course, babe"
